Here is a vintage/antique fishing pole eyelet wrapper. It is mounted to the board for display only; it will be removed for shipping cost savings. The unit is made of mostly brass and shows some great patina. The free standing support is adjustable in height. The end support with the circular fitting at the top is broken at the base. It needs to be brazed or threaded into the hole. The thread winder shows some light rust. All other parts are in good useable or for display condition. There are two bottles of Weber Rodspar Varnish. One bottle of Weller Rod Varnish(all three are nearly full, look useable but the lids will be difficult to remove) The bottle of Linseed oil is nearly full and ready for use. Vintage Kingfisher 66" Octagon wooden Surf Rod for Repair
You are looking at a 2 pc. wooden octagon shaped surf rod with a turned wooden handle. This piece together is about 66" in length from the bottom rubber bulb to the tip. It is constructed of octagon shaped material that is stiff and about 3/4" thick at the base. It attaches to a turned hardwood handle. There is an aluminum seat for the reel with a turn screws at the base for tightening. There is one(two sided) eye on the way to the straight eye on the tip. Eyes are plastic lined. The sticker is still on the rod and it is in good condition except for the sleeves that join the rod. Although they work. Both male and female have a split.See Photo) The sleeves need to be repaired or replaced. The rod itself does not seem to be cracked. This is a great old rod in nice condition but for the sleeves. Vintage Murray Thunder Rod Motor-aka V-RROOM Comes in Original Box Is NOT in working condition Selling for parts or Repair only. Here is what is going on with it: There is minor surface rust on battery terminals. I put batteries in it and it did not turn on. One of the plastic tabs where its bolted together has broken off(see photo) There is paint missing or scuffed off throughout. One of the spark plug light covers is broken off. Still have the piece and can probably be reattached pretty easily. All of the screw and nuts that hold it together besides one are missing. These should be very easy to replace. This is a Lot of Vintage Japanese Bamboo Fishing Rods along with Floats/ Bobbers. Some packages of leaders and a wooden case. PLEASE NOTE: Some of the rods may be complete. But there are also some groups of pieces from incomplete rods. As far as I can see all of the rods either have aspects that require refurbishing/ repair, and some of the contents are just segments from a number of incomplete rods. This entire lot was purchased as you set it from an estate. We are not knowledgeable in this area and I cannot state the feasibility of repairing or refurbishing any of the rods. The lot is offered strictly for whatever use you feel you can make of it based on the condition described, and seen in the photos. One of the photos showns what appeared to me to be the matching sections of possibly complete rods. We have a 16" ceiling in our foyer. The two or three tallest rods come just to the top of a shelf area above the front door. I did not measure that height precisely but it is definitely well more than 8' And possibly as high as about 9' Most of those rods are NOT together in a stable manner, however(see condition section for more details) As found, the segments were jumbled together. After sorting and assembling, I grouped the matching sections together and fastened them with plastic zip ties, to save you some work when you get the lot. Most of the handle appear to be cork.
