Two Vintage split Bamboo Fishing Rod Tip End Sections with clothe sleeve
This for Two split Bamboo tip rod end sections. This is for the two tip sections only. I don't have the rest of the rod but thought maybe someone would need a good replacement end for there rod. The one has the tip off it. Other than that they are in great condition. I don't know who made them. They are about 26 1/2 inches long and 5/32nds thick on the insert end. This rod was purchased in France over 30 years ago(not available in the U.S. Pezon et Michel fiberglass rods are rare but those with a staggered butt/tip are almost non existent. The rod is in excellent condition and appears to have never been fished. It is a parabolic rod with a slow action and can handle line sizes from 5 through 7. Comes with Pezon bag. vintage airco aircraft torch valve smiths henrob brazing cutting hot rat rod tip
Hi I'm in the process of weeding out my extra brazing and cutting pieces. First is an old war-time AIRCO torch. There is no badge on it and no stamping, But from what I've researched it is the early version of a 700 with A size connections. It has the early corn cob grip, And the tip that is included is a MODEL 90 NO 5. The interesting thing is their are female threads for the tips, So the tip nuts have male threads that are protected by the hand grip. It's a cool design as it keeps the threads from getting banged up. Way lighter than my Victor that is the same size. Great for brazing bike frames and sheetmetal welding. This is in way better condition than the pictures look but it is still definitely vintage equipment. The valves are tight but smooth. And hold pressure. It uses the smaller hose size. Also included are 2 replacement ... morepress-in valves both oxygen and acetylene sides. I figured I'd throw in some more random AIRCO stuff since this will be shipped in a flat rate box. There are 3 torch cutting tips- 00.0& 1 sizes for a larger cutting setup, And 4 tips that look like a Henrob or Smith style size 2. 3, 4& 5. A larger AIRCO press in acetylene side valve for the big torch, A rosebud style AIRCO tip style 719 no 8, And another AIRCO tip style 90 size 9. The little random tip is a SMITH'S A22. Everything looks to be in useable condition. Nothing is plugged up or dropped or corroded. Great stuff to complete your vintage oxy-acetylene sets. Only selling to clear out some tool box space! Manufacturer Milward, Length(mm) 2780, Weight(g) 300, Condition The rod is in pretty good shape. The bindings are all tight and unfrayed. Canes are all well stuck together and not separating anywhere. All eyes are present and undamaged. Although they all have surface rust and would definitely need to be cleaned up if it was ever to be used. The varnish is not flaking, however it is showing its age with crazing and wrinkling. Cork on the butt is good but age discoloured. All the brass fittings are good, just need a good clean and polish. The bag is very discoloured and perished in quite a few spots. The rod for sale is a 7' 2/2#4 Mettowee series. This is an impregnated finish rod. With green/black wraps, delicate 5" grip, upsliding Bellinger Reelseat with burl spacer, CSE truncated ferrules, along with bag and tube. The rod has been very lightly fished a couple of times and is in virtually as-new condition. The action is similar in style to a Payne 98, with a light tip/dry fly action and a large swelled butt. This pole belonged to my Great-Grandfather it seems to be in great condition. After looking at others listed. It is marked"SOUTH BEND a Name Famous in fishiing" written onto the pole is"HDH or D" and on the opposite side of the pole is written"346-9' the last photo shows that some varnish has popped off. It looks like the one tip was used more often. or had a big one on it at some time! I know nothing about fly fishing or vintage poles. so I took many pictures of it outside in good lighting. When I placed it on white, you couldn't see any detail, so please excuse the back drop. The pole will be shipped it's bag and aluminium tube that measures 3' 4" Thanks for looking.
