Fishing Rod Guide Wrapping Dryer w/ Pro Kote Thread Finish Kit
Up for auction is a rod building dryer motor holder with rollers and thread finish kit. I bought the dryer motor on ebay a few years ago to fix a couple fishing rods and it works great. The motor is 15/18 r/min and plugs into the wall. The thread finish bottles I purchaed from Mudhole. The thread finish is a 1oz. bottle of Pro Kote part A resin and part B hardener with syringes and instructions and a 1oz. bottle of Cason's Crystal Clear Color Preserver. I only used about 1/8 of the resin and hardener so the bottles are almost full. I never used the color preserver so it is filled to the top. This is a great little kit! 9 ft.3pc 1T Bamboo Fly Rod for re-wrapping, w/alum. tube, cane is VG lot #48
This rod is a 3 pc. one tip 9 ft. rod which. From the feel of it, is a 5/6wt. all three sections are the same length, and the cane is in good condition(though the tip has a slight set) This rod has no maker's mark, but I believe(from the shadow left when the decal was removed) that it is Montague cane made for Spiegel back in the days when Spiegel mail-ordered fishing tackle. The mid female ferrule has a crack at the base-if I were doing the refinish, I would either replace all the ferrules, or wrap the cracked area tightly with C or D white nylon(not silk) and varnish: white nylon without color preserver becomes almost transparent when varnished, and shrinks; finished thusly, the ferrule will give at least 3 or 4 more years of service before requiring replacement. FLY ROD AND CONVENTIONAL ROD WRAPPING MACHINE
This is a table top rod wrapping machine. I had a 8 foot long board with a 1/4 by 1/2 inch aluminum strip down it so the machine could slide back and forth for adjustment. It would cost too much to ship it with that board. I used it once. But I have Dave Redington of Redington Rods close by and he takes care of all my repairs and rod building at a fraction of time for my limited skills can do. Has a slow revolving electric motor and it worked very well the only time I used it. Rod not included.

Electric Rod Building Lathe w/All Rod Wrapping Attachments
This is a small frame craftsman's lathe. Designed to turn out quality fishing rods, pool cues, and other equipment that requires a precise thread wrap, cutoff, or cylindrical shaping. The turning head is belt driven, powered by a small Emerson sewing machine motor. The multiple pulley combinations are integrated to allow very slow turning(for allowing epoxy or varnish to dry evenly) all the way through a very fast turn for sanding, etc. The additional attachments include a tensioned thread dispenser, an end drill chuck, and two roller sets to keep the article even and true through the wrapping or the finishing process. All of the components are in like new condition. The powered chuck has been kept oiled and all parts have been kept in dry air-conditioned storage. Three homemade rod wrapping jigs. They are very well made. Aluminum Bases and sliding blocks. Teflon rollers with rubber O-Rings. Stainless steel rods, and solid hardware. The O-Rings are dried and need replacing, but the jogs will last more than a lifetime. These were used to build many rods over a few years. And have a ton of life left in them.
