FINE ENGLISH REGENCY STYLE 19TH CENTURY SOLID CUBAN MAHOGANY SIGNED TIP TOP BREAKFAST TABLE WITH REMARKABLE BRASS HARDWARE& ACCOUTREMENTS With our honors we are delighted to offer for this wonderful fine signed solid Cuban mahogany English early 19th Century Regency style tip top drop leaf breakfast table. This table has all its the highest quality and integral brass hardware included brass capped legs. Caster wheels and an amazing yoke fashioned locking control system. This is an ultra high quality piece of the finest English antique mahogany furniture making techiques with a highly unusual drop leaf configuration. This sophisticated table has a reeded carved four legged base on a finely turned center pedestal and is 64 1/2" tall when locked back, 48 1/2" long with its small drop leafs down, 60" long with the leaves locked ... moreup, 32" wide and 29 1/2" tall. The leaf supports are a pair on each side of finely crafted mahogany folding ears. The tables support box is all hand dovetailed and every detail on this table goes over the top with its emphasis on quality. It has never been touched with any restoration. Its top has been exposed to sunlight and its finish fairly bleached out. This table has been very well cared for except for a few hours when it sustained several burns to its top. The kids of the family had an unauthorized fairly wild party that they are still paying for it twenty years later: We offer this table with the built in option(subject to final terms of sale) of our refinishing the top(only) or leaving it alone. Our policy is to not touch period antiques as we are only the temporary guardians of them until we find a new home for them. The Tip Top Inn was located on the top floors of this iconic ten-story building. The restaurant had several dining rooms: The French Room, Nursery Room, Colonial Room, Charles Dickens Room, Flemish Room, Garden Room and the Whist Room. Each was uniquely decorated. This is a rare surviving piece of restaurant ware china marked Bauscher China, Weiden- Bavaria. Registered U.S. Pat. Office. Arthur Schiller and Son, Chicago 1929. The salad plate measures 7" wide. Up for auction is a beautiful old Tip Top Bakery retail shelf display. It is made out of thick wire. And it's great for storage. I have used it for many years as storage for fresh towels, but it would look great in a kitchen holding plates or glasses or other kitchen things. I've put some clothing articles on the shelves as an example. I would place this in the 1940s- 1950s range. It's 40 inches tall, a hair under 22' wide, the bottom shelf is 15' deep and the top shelf is 14' deep. Almost certainly American-made. CONDITION: Excellent overall. It has age wear and patina for sure, but very few bends, and no broken welds– and nothing missing. It's structurally sound. It folds for easy storage. Tip Top Bread Cardboard Advertising Truck
1953 Ward's Tip Top Bread and Cakes cardboard delivery van style truck is about 8" x 9" flattened and looks like it would fold into a little desk top truck of about 3 3/4" x 1 1/2" x 1 5/8" The roof of the truck says Tip-Top Cakes on new side and Tip-Top Bread on the other. One side of the truck features a loaf of bread and says Ward Baking Company and the other side features a medallion or shield in red-white-blue and says Wards Tip-Top Cakes and also says Ward Baking Company. The back of the truck has this same shield on it and the bottom of it says Enriched Tip-Top is Better Bread. It is flat now but has been folded before and has some wrinkles on it and discoloration but overall still a pretty nice piece of advertising.
