Used Abu ambassadeur Model 6000 Baitcasting Reel With Clicker
Up for auction is a used Abu Ambassadeur Model 6000 baitcaster. It has the clicking mechanism and a"Lindy's" crank with red knobs. The reel is used and does have some rash on the outside of the side plates at the top and bottom. It also has the last name of Coleman. The last owner, I presume, etched on the bottom of the foot. The serial number on the bottom of the foot is 090802. Please take a look at the enlarged photos, as they accurately depict the condition of this reel. Mechanically, the reel is in good working order. The action is smooth and the drag, release and clicking mechanisms work fine. Until their introduction you adjusted the drag on foxed spool reels via a knob on the front of the spool. Without one of these you couldn't catch a Carp! The reels. Especially these large Cardinal 57's were also popular with Salmon and Pike fishermen. They were very easy to use and operated smoothly. This reel and other similar reels I have listed were being used by a Salmon Fisher to good effect. So. We have an ABU Garcia, Cardinal 57, Fixed Spool Spinning Reel. The reel has been used but is in good working condition. You will see from the picture that the spool and bail arm joint have a grey bloom to them. They are a different material to the rest ... moreof the reel hence the bloom. This does clean off if you so wish. The reel carries some minor loss of finish which one might expect from a used reel.
