You are bidding on a vintage Fenwick SP784 spinning rod. I assume this is a custom built rod judging by the color of the wraps. This rod is in good condition with a few light scratches. The guides are secure and the wraps are tight. There is some fading of the color in the wraps as seen in the pictures. The cork and the reel seat are in good condition. There is no butt cap as seen in the pictures. The rod measures 6' 6" and has 6 guides plus the tip. The rod has medium to medium light action with a moderate tip and a parabolic bend. Fenwick Vintage Spinning Fishing Rod 6'6" PLS
This is a vintage Fenwick spinning rod. It is 6'6" in length. The rod is in really good physcial condition. The blank and guides look great. The cork on the upper part of the handle has a few shallow divots. But the rod is good overall condition. Unfortunately, I do not know the model number of this rod. I see no markings designating the model. Most likely a FS65 or PLS65. I've been told by a fellow Ebayer this is a PLS.

This rod is in superb condition and on close inspection I could find only two things worth mentioning the first is that as shown in photo#8 there is some finish loss and abrasion on the stationary portion of the reel seat. The seat is not deformed in any way just the abrasion as you see it. The second item is apparently the former owners name etched into the reel seat. Other than these two items the rod is in beautiful condition no divots in the handle. All windings and line guides solid and unbent and the rod itself is free from any observable problems. The tube although in good condition has for whatever reason a slight bow to it this bow does not hinder the rod carrying capabilities ... moreof the tube and does not stress the rod but I thought I should mention it. Rare late 50's early 60's Fenwick Feralite FS70 4 7/8 oz. Seven Foot Spinning Rod with Case and Cloth Sleeve. This Fenwick is a pre zip code rod which makes production before 1963. The rod is in great condition with only some scratches on the reel seat. The original Fenwick tag is also included and not often found with a rod of this age. The guides are all excellent and the wraps are complete. Tight and glossy. The original rod tube is cardboard and shows less than average wear. The rod sleeve is cloth with the Fenwick label and has three little wear holes and the fabric is still strong and supple. This is a gently used and well cared for rod ready to fish or add to your collection.

The serial number is J 51945 and rod weighs just 15 3/4 ounces and can handle 1-4 ounce lures, and 10-20 lb. line. The decals are intact and the cork looks new and the chrome is brilliant and the blank and bindings are excellent. There are six eyelits and a tip. The only non positive thing about this rod is that the metal tip eyelit has a split, and could easily be replaced. Please see all of the photos.
