Everything functions flawlessly including the levelwind, drag, spool release and the gears are smooth and turn over easily. The chromed parts are clean& free of corrosion. The paint does show some scratches and wear. The number on the foot is 791001. Don’t know what makes these rare or special. But one sold on Ebay for $303 on January 4, 2014. Outstanding quality"ABU AMBASSADEUR 7000" BAIT CASTING REEL, still in very good overall condition from back in the 1990s era, consisting of red anodized side-plates& upper rim bands held apart by two(2) chromed brass pillars at top& back, plus level wind mechanism& shroud, and quad-pinned reel foot on base. The level-wind mechanism runs on a full width, brass worm gear under the shroud at front of course, moving as the handle is turned, with 1 3/4" wide spool with 1/2" dia. alloy arbor turning on counter-balanced handle with large, double-end finger grip on one end& weight on the other, plus star drag underneath, both held in place on the stem with a chromed hex-nut in a cogged lock plate on top.See Photos) Left side-plate has the"ABU Svangsta" cost-of-arms) plate at front ... moreside along with"Made In Sweden" stamped in, just as you'd expect, plus has cast control dial knob at dead center over the spool end, and classic, concentric ringed"clicker" at back edge. Upper rim of the red anodized side-plate carries the factory markings: ABU Garcia" Ambassadeur 7000" in gold on black ribband of course. Right sideplate has the counter-balanced, black painted alloy handle, with star drag underneath and oil cap over spool end bearing.
