However it does have one piece of tape on it and is missing 2 of the three pieces of styrofoam that goes in the box. Foot plate number is 107100. Up for auction is this very nice vintage Abu Garcia Ambassadeur 7000 reel. Very hard to find in this condition. This reel appears to have never been used. It has no chips,cracks,scratches,dings and the chrome and paint are shiney and clean has when new. The only flaw I can see is that the decal on one side plate is a little wrinkled(you can see this in the picture)This comes with the original box,papers and tube of oil,but the wrench and extra parts are missing. It is super smooth running and all fuctions are working as they should.The number on the foot reads:81-4 86-87.Check out the pictures,this is one of the nicest ones you'll come across.A great addition to your collection or just use it.Thanks!

AMBASSADEUR XLT 1 SYNCRO BAITCASTING REEL This auction is for the pictured Ambassadeur xl syncro bait casting fishing reel. This reel is an early version of a low profile type bait casting reel. It has the following features: syncro drag system. a rear thumb bar release· a flipping selector switch on the top right sideplate rim. It has a double paddle handle· a magnetic spool adjustment on the left side plate· quick opening side plate to remove the spool· Graphite body· Ball bearing construction· Gear ratio of about 5:1 which was considered high speed then. But is a great reel speed for deep running crankbaits today. Cosmetically this reel has seen use and has boat rash on the rims and some scratches to the side plates. The decals along the side plates are faded with age and sun exposure. I’m not quite sure how ... morethe syncro drag works. I was recently told that if you back the handle up some it lessens the drag while under fighting pressure and that it goes back to the preset amount when you turn the handle forward a few times while under fighting pressure. I’m not sure this one works properly since I don’t have it tied to a fish to test that portion of the drag. But the drag otherwise seems to work. I can’t get it to tighten down to a dead stop but I’m not sure it is supposed to. The gears feel good and the level wind travels across the worm properly too. The spool disengagement button is a thumbar on the rear of the reel and is fully functional. The flipping option also works on this reel. The level wind travels across the worm well too. If you are into the older style reels like this Abu Garcia Ambassadeur this is a great opportunity to pick one up. This model ABU Garcia 5000c black color baitcasting reel was made in Sweden and is in remarkable condition. I doubt that it was used more than a couple of times. The serial number is a very low number and it reads 037200 which is a very low by today's standards. There are no condition issues and the reel does work well. The original partial box must have been stored in the garage along with the leather bag. The tool kit, and oil bottle because all of the stitching is bad on the leather case and the box shows slight signs of being in a damp environment. The original Owners Manual is in great condition! The reel must have been kept inside the home, and is estate fresh from here in NW Ohio. One of the nicest 5000c reels I have ever owned. Abu Garcia 7000i, large capacity fishing reel
The 7000i has a large capacity and I think is a salt water or fresh water reel. Around here they are used on heavy rods for snagging spoonbill. This reel is in good condition and all works well. Every thing works as it should do the very smooth to wind and the pick up pin etc are all fine. gear lock, ultra cast design. The end of the drag cap has fell off, and the backwind wont lock for some reason, it works as it is now, but selling for spares or re p air. due to these minor faults, top of the foot is stamped 0003. ABU Ambassadeur 6000C Vintage Reel - Quality Swedish made genuine ABU
This is an Ambassadeur(ABU) Swedish made original quality reel. It is pre ABU Garcia and I believe made between 1973 and 1977 in Sweden. I have owned this for a long time and not used it also for a long time. It is a perfect match for a smaller flexible rod up to 3 metres or so. It has always been serviced and I have always been amazed at the internals and the quality of the brass and stainless components. It has a very effective drag and the spool is easily tensioned down so that overrun is minimal(i f at all) A great reel as one of three original ABU's I have. I don't have a use for it and needs to be used. It comes with leather case. Spanner and spares tube- and the ORIGINAL MANUAL. There are some paint chips from usage on the black side covers- see pics.
