Vintage Airex Spinster- Bache Brown Model 4 Half Bail Spinning Reel- Lionel Corp
Vintage Airex Spinster Model 4'Half Bail' Spinning Reel. In the late 40's. Airex was purchased by the Lionel Corporation(toy trains) and these are early examples of made in USA'fixed spool' or spinning reels. Everything seems to work on this reel, anti-reverse and drag both work and half-bail system works fine. Reels smoothly and without wobble. Aluminum frame and rotor- does make some noise when reeling but does not sound like gear noise(metallic sound of the rotor/spool I believe) No damage to handle or knob. I believe this was made sometime in the late 40's or 50's. Let me know if I can any questions about this item. Thanks for looking.
