This auction is for an old fishing lure. Has the markings of Al Foss. Thanks for looking. I will be listing a bunch of old fishing lures. I honestly know very little about them except a little reaserch here on ebay. These all came from my grandfathers collection. He was in the military and would pick up lures from all over the country from Georgia. Texas, Michigan, Indiana, Wisconsin, Minnesota, and even some from Europe. I will be slowly listing some of them so it may take a few weeks to get them all on here. In terms of condition I beleive most are used. He did not collect them to look at he bought them locally where he was to use to fish. Some might also belong to my great grandfather as well. I found this Al. Foss Pork Rind Minnow tin while going through some of Dad's collectables. As you can see. It has been around but is still in great"used" condition. If you look closely, you can see"5 Shimmy Wiggler" stamped on the lid. I remember fishing with Dad and this was one of his favorite baits. Seems like he ALWAYS caught a monster Bass every time he used these things. He made me get the slimy pork rind out of a little bottle of some stinky brine he kept in his tackle box then attached it just so to the lure. It was YEARS before he let me use these bates and they always caught fish! The lure is long gone but the tin he kept it in and the memories of"fishin with Dad" live on. Up for bid– coming out of a Minnesota sale.We have this original Wiggler- No. 3 lure. As you can see we are selling this for restoration. As I do believe the hook is missing from the back. For its size this lure it quite heavy I think. Don't know what it is made of. Don't believe it is wood. It could be bake lite. This is a neat old lure that somebody may want to restore and add to their collection. It came in a plastic package. I'm sure it is not the original package. This person just had it stored in there. As we are not lure collectors we are offering this mini collection"As-found" All of the lures in this offering were housed in the AL Foss tin that is also being offered with the lures. We are not exactly sure of the age of the lures do we will do our best to describe them to the best of my ability. 1. Al Foss Tin. The tin does show some wear and scuffing. The text remains visible to all parts of the tin. The gold wash to the interior remains bright with some loss. The lid closes securely. The tin measures 4.00 inches wide by 1 inch. Boxed marked Number 4. 2. Three assorted flies. Small. Appear to be hand tied. Smallest.50 inch long the other 2 measure 1.25 inches. 3. I am offering for auction a neat old fishing lure. It is by Al Foss and is called a Shimmy No. 6. It has everything. Great tail hair! This lure is metal. With a stamped spinner. It is used and shows a little wear. I would say it is in GR+ condition. I have not tried to clean it. The white line down the side of the lure is a flash reflection. Sorry. Alanson and Rachel Moremen purchased Riverside home in 1862. By the 1880s, the aging Alanson began legally dividing the farm among his heirs. Marcus Stith Moremen came to Florida with their families and purchased part of the Fatio grant where they built a home and planted citrus in Switzerland. Florida.
