Vintage Black Jitterbug with Rough Original Box and Original Papers by Arbogast
Here is a Vintage Black Jitterbug lure by Fred Arbogast. This lure has an aluminum mouth and comes in a rather rough Original box with the Original papers. The lure is of plastic. It shows some fading of the color on its back and it appears to have a worm mark on the side. The ends of the box need to be glued back to the main box. The papers describe the Jitterbug as a surface lure. It measures 3" long and weighs about 3/8 oz. The lure presents a wobble when in the water and the lip makes a loud noise that attracts Bass. This is a good vintage Sputter Bug. Even though it has some hook nicks on the back, an a scrape off on the left side. It does have a new rubber skirt from the same period.
