Heres some history for you! This is an old lot of Slab Spoons from Gainsville. Texas. These are the baits that eventually became the Bomber Slab Spoon. The oldest one, with the pink paper is the first in this line of baits. Called Bomars Fishing Slab. Look at that phone number? This is a pre-1960s bait. The makers name was Bomar, and the Bomber Bait Company did not like the similar name pronunciation so under pressure from the company, he changed the name to Piscator! By then, the phone numbers had changed to the 7 number series we know today, as was the addition of the zip-code, which will date these 4 baits to after 1963. Not sure how long the early baits were made, but somewhere between the late 50s-and 1963 they changed?
