Garcia Conolon 5 Star Ultra-Light Action fiberglass spinning rod.It is 5 feet in length. Handles 1/16th-1/4 ounce lures and 2-6 lb. test line. The model number is 2121-A,it is made in the USA and has the number 14505 printed on it also. It is in excellent condition(with a minor cork rip on the bottom end of the cork handle. This rod was purchased in the early 1970s and it was Garcia's top of the line model. For sale is a vintage Garcia Conolon ultra-light spinning rod. Model no. 2121-A. 5' ultra-light action 1/16-1/4 oz. lures. 1-6 lb. line. Two piece rod. Includes the original matching model no. 2121A cloth rod sock. This was Garcia's top-of-the-line brown five star ultra-light rod from the early 1970's. Rod shows some light usage on grip. The Garcia emblems and markings show some light wear. Otherwise, this rod is in excellent condition. All rod guides are nice and shiny, in perfect condition. All wrappings are also excellent. The rod sock is nice. Overall, this is a super clean, very nice collectible rod.

Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 Up for you bidding consideration in this NO RESERVE auction is my rare 508 Garcia Mitchell High Speed Forked Foot Spinning Reel and Garcia Conolon Model 2585-D rod. Here’s the good and the bad description. The good is that I have both the rod and the reel. The bad is that the top section of the rod is not the original. I have owned this rod and reel for years and the best that I can figure is that the previous owner broke the original tip section of the rod and replaced it with a non-matching section in order to continue to use the reel. The other good part is that I have the lower section of the original rod which contains the only reel seat that I am aware of that mounts the fork foot of the 508. A good rod builder could certainly make a matching tip section. The ... morereel has been fished and there are some cosmetic issues in the way of worn finish and some scratches. I also question the bail as being the original. While it works properly, when the spool is in the out-most position, the bail, by a very, very small amount, see detailed picture) does not clear the end of the shaft. I’m not certain whether this is normal, as this variable oscillating spool only reaches the out-most position once in every 18 revolutions, in other words, the chance of interference is 1 in 18. From parts dealer’s listings. It appears that the bail for the 308, 408, and 508 are the same and therefore bails are available for a modest price if needed. The bail, spring, and bail lock, DO operate properly other than the remote occurrence of interference mentioned above. The reel is made in France. Serial No. 1066770. The Garcia rod is a Model 2585-D. There are scratches and some damage to the decal. The cork grip is good. The seat is excellent, and the little red rubber Garcia“g” remains in the butt. The rod shaft is dark brown with black thread wraps, and the non-matching top section is dark green with lighter green thread wraps. The connecting ferrules DO fit prope

Garcia Conolon 2500-A Ultralight spinning rod 5' long This rod is marked with five stars which makes it Garcia Conolon's highest quality star rating. This rod is in excellent condition. Very lightly used if used at all. It has no nicks. Scratches, scrapes, dents etc. The colors are bright like new. The rod is perfectly straight. No bent guides. This is an excellent example of a Garcia Conolon 2500-A which is considered by some to be one of the better ultralight spinning rods ever made. Vintage Garcia Conolon rod 2540-b 6 & 1/2' spinning rod light action vgc
Here is a vintage Garcia Conolon fishing rod with soft vinyl case. It is a model 2540-b light action rod. 6.5' long. It is in very good condition with very little paint wear on the beige that you see in the pics. The ends of the cork handle have a tortoise shell look to them and the rest of the rod is brown with amber accents. All eyes and wraps are in very good shape as is the reel boot. I think the wear is from being in the case not properly secured. The case is a gray/white color with a full zipper and soft lined interior. There are separate retainers for the rod pieces. The zipper is missing teeth. But it will still close to protect the rod. I have used the case 3 times to check and each time it will zip closed, with some coaxing. Paypal is due 4 days from auction end.
