Vintage Hardy Bros. fly reel "Perfect" model
Vintage used Hardy Bros. Ltd fly reel. This reel was made in Alnwick England and is Hardy Bros. Ltd 3 1/8" The'Perfect' flyreel. Patent numbers stamped on the side read: 24245&9261. It also has stamped Duplicated Mark II. The zippered padded case it comes with was made by H J Collins Mfg. Co. As near as we can tell this reel is right hand retrieve. Research found extra reels available. This reel comes apart by holding the inner reel while turning the handle counter clock wise. Once you take the reel apart you can see the small ball bearings in the center that give this such a smooth reeling motion. We also ran a small test on the crossbars to make sure they weren't nicked or worn and would cut away at your line. By running yarn across both sides of each crossbar we were able to determine there appear to be no burs on ... morewhich to cut your fly line. Classic Sage 106M fly reel - excellent used condition - with backing
Up for bid is(1) Sage fly reel. Model 106M, in excellent used condition. I have had reel since new, acquired around 1994, and reel has been taken care of and used sparingly on the North Umpqua River. There is 30lb backing presently on reel, and probably should have 20lb backing instead. I got this reel when I was first learning to fly fish, and I probably invisioned larger fish than I actually ever caught. Reel is 3 5/8" outside diameter. This exceptionally made. Yet simple reel was made in Redditch, England for Sage by J.W. Young Company, and uses a click type drag system that can be converted to right or left handed retrieve. I fished it with WF-6F line on my Sage rod, but upgraded to newer reel after learning to fly fish. I sometimes question why I ever quit using this reel because some of the more expensive reels sold today are more ... moretrouble and less efficient than this simple reel. Vintage Noll Fly Tying Kit No.101 LOTS OF PIECES
This kit appears to be complete. But I do not have a list of what was originally included with the set so I cannot say for sure. All the parts are categorized and bagged and labelled very neatly. Comes with an instruction booklet" The Art of Fly Tying" which is in brand new condition. The feathers that you see in the pictures are real feathers The only concern is that there is some sort of white substance on some parts of the front of the box. It will easily scrape away. I scraped most of it away so I could see the wording but I did not want to damage the box by accident. There is lots and lots of components here, would be a great starter kit or collector piece!

Vintage Goodwin Granger Aristocrat 9' Fly Rod With Original Metal Tube
Up for auction is a Vintage Goodwin Granger Aristocrat 9' fly rod with original metal storage tube. The handle is marked: PAT APR.12.1938. PAT.NO.2.114.107, MADE BY GOODWIN GRANGER COMPANY DENVER. Cork handle does have some damage as shown in the images. The rod sections, eyes, and wrappings are all in very good condition. No cracks, bends, or other damage is visible. The auction includes four sections of fly rod. Canvas carry case, and metal storage tube. The metal tube has paint missing, and handling marks. There are no large or deep dents in the tube. The tube has the original Granger label listing the rod as being 9' and what appears to be 8 3/4" oz weight. Thanks for looking and good luck!
