Vintage Garcia Conolon 2 piece Fishing Rod made in U.S.A. Nice!
This is a Vintage Garcia Conolon 2 piece Fishing rod in very good condition made in the U.S.A! It is 66 1/2" long. The rod shaft is black with burgandy threading and gold and white detailing. The two pieces fit together nicely. The rod flexes nicely with no cracks or damage. The shaft lable wore off but it is a 2877-A Light medium Action 5 1/2' 1 3/4 to 3 1/2 oz lure rod. The handle is wood and rubber with a metal reel seat with a double locking nut. Nice vintage Rod in very good condition! Check out my other items! Thank you for shopping!

As you see in pics 6-9 there is a discoloration on the eyes which normally I would say is just put away incorrectly because the last top 3 eyes(pics10-12) dont show it. The 1 eye on the bottom pc(pic 6) does show as if that it was cracked all the way through and then repaired? ALL the eyes are sturdy and do not move as in loose. However, it was stored inside tube and the rod shows little wear. It would be great for the fly fisherman or the the Fly Fish rod collector. We are neither. 2 vintage Garcia Conolon two piece rods. They are models 8212A. And 8226A. The 8226A is a casting rod, and the 8212A is a spinning rod. Both are marked 6 1/2' but the 8212A is about 6'3" so it must have been repaired. They are both used, but the 8226A is in much better condition. I would say this rod is in very good condition for its age. The 8212A is in fair condition. There is also a piece of the guide missing on the 8212A. You can see this in the last photo. Up for auctioin is this vintage Maroon Garcia Four-Star 6 1/2' spinning rod. This may be a Conolon rod but most of the decal is missing so its hard to say for sure. The rod is in very good condition and shows a little wear from use. The reel seat has a little wear. There are no cracks or chips in the cork handle. All guides are shiney with no bends and the wraps are intact with no fraying. The fiberglass does have a few light scuffs from handling. All that can be read of the decal is part of Garcia, 4 stars and the first two letters in FOUR. The rod measures just over 6 1/2' when put together. Check out the pictures.Thanks!
