Two piece 6' Garcia Conolon rod w/ 6 eyelets. Eyelets and wrappings are in good shape with normal scrapes and chips from use. The rod model number is not clear because of the decal fading. The reel seat is in good shape and the rear of the handle has had a rubber cap installed. As the pictures show. Original length with a slightly staggered butt and tip section(butt is 41 3/4" and tip is 43 3/4" The fiberglass shaft shows some light wear. Note metal spigot ferrule and the large clear agate lined first guide and black agate lined guides on the tip section. The wraps on the first guide are a little different color than the other guide wraps so this guide might be a replacement, although the wraps look factory or at least professionally re-done. Very nice vintage Garcia Conolon four star 2508 6-1/2' fast taper rod with original felt sleeve. The rod is in nice condition other than the label on the rod is scratched as you see in the picture. All wraps are in perfect condition except one looks like it has a piece of clear tape on it. I'm not going to touch it as someone who knows about poles can fix it. Look at the picture. ◄█ Vintage 2-Piece Fiberglass Garcia Conolon 2165 Saltwater spinning/surf rod in excellent condition. Unfortunately pictures cannot do this rod justice. In fact. I don't think I can explain what an amazing vintage piece this is and how substantial it feels in your hand. According to the Garcia label, this 9'6" rod is a"FAST TAPER, MEDIUM ACTION" ROD. It does not have a line or lure weight rating on the label but it comfortably threw 5-ounce cut bait for me without any issues. The bottom piece is 48.75" long. The top piece is 67" long. The cork handles are approximately 1.375" in diameter and where the rod blank protrudes from the top cork handle, the rod is about 13/16" in diameter. The ferrule is solid machined aluminum with what appears to be brass electroplating. It seats very firmly and actually ... moretakes quite a bit of muscle to seat and unseat. The cork handles are in excellent condition with no foul odor, mold, mildew, etc. The fighting butt has some surface cracks from age(pictured) but does not feel weak or brittle and is fully functional- it is not chalking and does not leave residue on your hand. The top piece of the reel seat has a small dent in it(pictured) but it does not affect the rod's performance. Both seat tightening rings spin freely and the threads are in perfect condition. All seven of the stainless steel guides(to include the tip) and guide wraps are in excellent condition. The gold paint has some light surface scuffs and discoloration here and there but overall is in very nice shape. ◄█ I will package carefully and ship via USPS Parcel Select. I did put a fishing reel on at one time but never used. Has a couple of scratches on the tip of the pistol grip from laying against the wall. The original canvas bag in great shape but labled as a Model B520C instead of D. Was purchased from a friend whose father passed away. He was a collector of vintage guns and some fishing rods. Up for auction is a very nice vintage Garcia Conolon 2 piece spinning rod. It is medi u m action. Model H-551as shown on the label. The ferr u les fit snugly as the should. And the cork handle is in nice condition. This only thing that keeps this rod from being near mint is the eyelet above the ferrule on the smaller half is slightly contorted. But it still lines up nicely. It's the eyelet that can be seen in photos 6, 7, and 8.
