All wraps, guides, ferrules, handle and cork there and in very good condition. Has its rod bag and tube also in good condition. Here's a very nice Conolon Fly Fishing Rod. Trout-Bass Action. This rod was made in the early 50's before Garcia acquired Conolon. Shakespeare was the first to offer tubular fiberglass rod's after WWII and Conolon was a close second. Silaflex actually head-hunted workers from Conolon to start their business. Rod has its original hang tag with just a small corner missing see pictures. Rod bag has two small holes and its dirty but has done its job protecting this fine rod. Rod looks hardly used and well cared for. I have not fished this rod but ... morehave lawn cast it. It’s in very good used condition. It’s a two piece rod that measures 6 ft. 6 in. It’s light action and will handle lure weights of 1/8 to 3/8 oz and lines from 2 to 10 lb. test. I see no scratches. Scrapes, mars anywhere on the blanks or handle. The handle and fore grip are padded and have no damage such as cuts, scrapes, etc. It’s not warped. The guides, wrappings and tip-top are original and secure. It’s very clean. This will make an excellent walleye rod and I know you’ll like it as much as I do. UPDATE: everything will be placed into a shipping box. The logo tube will be protected. I don't know about poles so please don't assume that I have checked anything other than the careful visual inspection. I feel confident that this is the five star due to its agate guides and the five stars on the hard-tube. There is a little missing from the decal and some very light scuffing to one side of the anodized base(photo) but nothing prominent and no indication that this was ever even mounted with a reel or that it rested on its base outside of the sock. The sock is great with no rips or stains and an excellent name patch. The cardboard hard-tube has had its paint banged up quite a bit. Classic Garcia Conolon 8 1/2' Royal Javelin Custom Fiberglass Fly Rod 2/1
The color of the wraps on this rod indicate that it was made by Garcia after the Conolon acquisition circa 1961-63. This rod is very good plus. The only flaw I can find is a break in the overwrap on the female ferrule-see pictures. This is an 8 1/2 foot 7-8 weight bass taper. These were custom built fiberglass rods with an unusual staggered ferrule configuration. The reel seat has a black plastic spacer and gold anodized aluminum fdittings. It is interesting that I can find no mention of Garcia or Conolon on this rod. It has the Royal Javelin decal and"Genuine Carballoy Tip-top" in black script. Another great rod for the fiberglass collector.

Vintage 1960's Garcia Conolon Model 2040 Rare Garcia Conolon Rod
You are bidding or a very rare 1960's Garcia Conolon Model 2040 USA 8 foot dry fly action 4piece pack rod/ travel rod in excellent condition. The rod does not have any paint or stars on it for grading its level. I believe that would makes it a pre 1965 Deluxe Garcia Conolon rod from the information I found on it. Printed on the lower decal is 2040 8' Dry Fly Action. Use: D-HDH-GBF which I believe means the rod was meant to be use with AFTMA line weight from of 6- 8 that’s my best guess. According to the blogs Garcia Conolon 2040 Deluxe Series was their first pack rod. I shot extra pictures in higher resolution to show the rod’s condition. It does not shows any signs of ever being fished with or used from what I can tell. The gold O- ring ferrel’s show no signs of being pressed together ore does the reel seat show signs of a reel ever ... morebeing placed on it. The Decals are as if the came straight from the factory as is the coating on its wrapped ferrel ends. The guides/ snake have never been bent or repaired nor has their wrapping threads show signs of use. There are some very tinny scratches on its glass& metal surfaces. Take the time to examine the pictures below to see what I have described. Garcia 510 Reel and 2460 Rod, Vintage Spinning Reel, Rod
The reel is clean and works excellent. Drag. Bail and anti-reverse all work like new. Reel spins beautifully. There is a bit of finish wear on the bail wire, but I would fish it just the way it is. I believe the rod is#2460, but must of label is gone. The rod, windings and guides are all in fine condition. Cork is all there and very solid. Length of rod is 6 1/2 feet.

Garcia Conolon Fiberglass 4Star 4pc. 7ft, Fiberglass Flyrod. This is a wonderful rod, I have used it a lot as a fly rod here in NW Montana. Has a unique ferrule setup, has two fiberglass spigot ferrules and the tip section uses a tip over butt type ferrule. Casts a 5wt or 6wt line very well. Label on rod says"Garcia Conolon(smudged) four star N548-A 7' Dry Fly Light Action AFTMA#6 1/4-1/2 oz lures 4-6 lb line 17673" Labels have parts missing, see pictures.
