The posters date from the late 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s and best of all- they were mostly brand new, unopened, and rolled in their original plastic packaging. These will bring back incredible memories of the good ol' days every time you look at them. You can own an authentic piece of history with this genuine vintage poster that has been sitting around unopened for 20-30 years! BEAUTIFUL AND GORGEOUS 13" Tall Up for auction is this most interesting handblown art glass piece made in a very unique contemporary modern style. It is orange with red hue. Black ribbon on side, blue donut and then finished with green holder on top. There are no cracks, repairs, chips, etc. It is in very good condition. It is very nice! It is truly unique! It measures approximately 13" tall and the hollow botton is about 3 1/4 inches across. It has David Garcia's amazing master artist's signature along with the date 2003. These cost $275 from galleries. David A. R. Garcia was born in San Francisco. California in 1957 and lived there most of his life until moving to rural Washington in 1990. From 1978-1980. While working on his landscape ... morearchitecture degree at Louisiana State University- Baton Rouge, Garcia became interested in glass- both hot and cold- and studied stained glass under Paul Dufour. Upon returning to San Francisco in 1981, Garcia resumed his glass studies at San Francisco State University with John Leighton and, in 1982, briefly studied hot glass at the California College of Arts and Crafts under the tutelage of Marvin Lipofsky. In 1983, however, Garcia abandoned academia and began working independently out of Shaun Weisbach's studio and, in 1987, built his own hot glass shop. Today his work can be found in collections, galleries, and fine arts museum shops throughout the United States and Canada. David Garcia retired from glass blowing in 2007. There will not be any more of his creations. A wonderful opportunity to get one of these rare pieces. We have been on eBay for 15 years. This is a beautiful piece of glass that we have enjoyed. A FULLY WORKING 3¼” GARCIA MITCHELL 710 AUTOMATIC FLY REEL Loaded with#6/7 fly line This perfectly working and totally pristine 3¼” diameter fly reel from Garcia Mitchell is in great operational condition and has all the attributes required of the automatic fly reel. For the uninitiated it operates with a clockwork mechanism with the back of the reel winding it up and. When you want to retrieve the line quickly, a lever is raised so releasing the spring. My Photos Nos.4, 5& 6 show the lever down and after raising. It is an ideal reel when standing in a swiftly flowing river, with the line being pulled downstream by the current. It can be a nightmare with the conventional fly reel! That's not to say it wouldn't be just as useful when fishing on land or in a reservoir boat or small lake. I don't think this reel has ... morebeen used very often judging by the lack of scratches on the black paint on the'foot' It is loaded with what I would judge to be about a#6/7 sinking line without any plastic coating. Acoma New Mexico Pueblo Indian Pottery by Elliott and Zelda Garcia( Bear )
This is a lovely pot from Elliott and Zelda Garcia. Members of the Sun Clan and Parrot Clan. They are both full blooded Native American Indians from the Pueblo of Acoma. Each piece of pottery that they craft has special meaning: White pottery represents Mother Earth and Sunrise represents the Clan origin. The Bear and Bear claw on this pot represents power,straight, and long life. The color of blue is the sky, the red is the sun. They etch and craft all these symbols on their pottery freehand, no stencils are used. The picture shows the original price paid for this pot over 15 years ago. Hernandis Grade 1 Classical Nylon String Guitar (Garcia) Granadillo+Spanish Pine
For sale: One Hernandis Grade 1 guitar from February 1973. These were originally sold by Sherry Brener under the Garcia and Hernandis brands. Some added details about the history and make of this model can be found at" Though as you will see from notes there, the guitar was made in Japan. The strings are medium tension and new. Action is low with no fret buzz(see below for a note on this) The neck is straight and the frets are well leveled(beautifully so, in my opinion) Being 42 years old, you know it isn't going to settle in and need to be set up again. In it's current state. This makes a great practice guitar. Far better than many you could buy new at the low end due to it's playability. With some attention from a luthier. It would make a fine performance guitar. String height is 15 mil at the first fret per a proper nut ... moreslot depth measurement tool. It averages 2.5mm(1/10th inch) at the 12th fret. With the bass side slightly higher and the treble side slightly lower. This is the lowest recommended action for a classical guitar. The neck is straighter than it needs to be. So if you prefer a higher action, high tension strings should get you there without introducing any other issues. Materials are: African cedar neck and granadillo fretboard. Indian rosewood back and sides. Spanish pine top. Persian marquetry for rosette and body binding. Construction by T. Kurosawa in Japan. Issues: Some of these are minor. Please see the photos to get a sense of severity. The guitar has three cracks in the top with at least one of them going all the way through. Can't tell on the others. There is a repair where the top was glued back down to the sides near the tail end. There is a dent on the back of the neck. There is no fret buzz. But something gives a buzz on some notes. This is probably related to the worst crack, which would benefit from being glued. Goodness: Tuners work well. The neck is straight. Frets are beautifully leveled. Strings are medium tension and new.
