The lure comes from our good friend J. V. and his lifelong collection. Watch for lots of lures! This is a collection of over 2.000 lures! LURE MARKINGS: This is marked on the belly in black letters: Heddon Crazy Crawler. The exact age is unknown but known vintage. LURE CONDITION: We ... moreinspect every lure with a 10x jewelers glass! This lure measures aprox. 2-1/8" long. There's no doubt this is a very nice older Crazy Crawler. NO real serious nicks were found on the entire lure. The white spot near the tail is a small area of raised white shop paint. The paint does not appear to be covering a blemish rather just a speck of shop paint. Note this version has the red pupils. A few small bumps and impression marks are seen scattered throughout however these are considered general use marks. The left side tail areas also have just a few small specks of the white shop paint. Any actual hook nicking is minimal and of the pin prick size. This version has the surface hardware and was most likely made towards the late 40's or early 50's. Light crazing lines are scattered. The hooks and hardware are slightly aged. For auction is a vintage Heddon Crazy Crawler 2120 wood lure It is about 2.5-3 inches in length. This Crazy Crawler lure is an excellent example of this model from Heddon. It is a beautiful wood lure. The paint and hardware is in great condition. There is a small indent/crack visible on the bottom along with one or two hairline cracks that are only visible at very close inspection. Inside the box is a fold out advertising paper for other Heddon lures on one side and for Heddon rods and reels on the other side. There is an old black price mark on the end with the lure stamp. This lot includes two vintage wood Heddon Crazy Crawler fishing lures. I think the one is called a Bullfrog. I am doing my best to list these lures correctly. But I don't know much about these. Lot 3 Vintage Heddon Crazy Crawler Fishing Lures Rare ? Odd Markings
This is a very unique lot of three wooden lures that came from my father's enormous collection. He has some rare ones. But I don't know what is good and what isn't. These ones were labeled in a baggy. Two of these are marked Heddon Crazy Crawler and these two have a shiny green pattern. The one in the top of picture 1 has a red scale pattern and is also marked Heddon only. I thought this was odd since the others are marked Heddon Crazy Crawler. This unique one that is marked Heddon only, also has gold eyes with a black pupil which is different from the other two. All three lures measure. 2 1/2 inches long. Heddon Crazy Crawler Flocked Mouse 60+ years old Displays Great!!
AWESOME condition on this Heddon crazy Crawler from the 2100 series. Crazy crawler lures were originally made by Donaly& Co. in 1939 but Heddon bought the patent in 1940. It is 2 3/4 inches long. This is the oldest of the flocked mouse models with the screwed on leather ears! Has BOTH ears and the tail in GREAT condition! You can see in the detailed pics the dating hardware on this. The wing has the patent number 1677176 stamped into it as seen in the picture. This has the RED dot on the chin with the"Heddon Crazy-Crawler" as well dating this to the earliest end of the manufacture run of 1940-1952 for this particular model.
