Here is an assortment of antique fishing lure PARTS all offered for.99 and no reserve. Years ago I bought at a local farm auction a machinists tool chest which was full of Fishing and Rod making tools and parts. The old guy had 100's of rods and reels and old lures and this chest was full of parts and pieces of everything imaginable. I sold the chest here on ebay a number of years ago for $1400 dollars. But before I did I pulled out a couple pieces and one was this box of fishing lure parts most of which I think came from wooden glass eyed fishing lures. If anyone has some old lures that are in bad shape these parts may be useful. One little box, all the boxes are old hook boxes, has 100's of brass screws from attaching hooks to lure bodies and are original and old. Other boxes have diving lips and more hardware for attaching hooks ... moreto bodies. There are a number of boxes that have eyelits that have long shanks for attaching hooks to bodies in different sizes. All of this is contained in a old line box with sliding lid. What we are offering to you today is a vintage 1915 Heddon Dowagiac Crab Wiggler. It has the reverse running plug. The variable line tie, and the U shaped collar. These 3 features are from the original Crab Wigglers. It measures about 4 inches in length and weighs 7/8oz. The body is made of wood, and the eyes are a yellowish glass. Condition: This lure is in good condition. It has been used many times so there is bite marks. Scratches, and paint missing. Also there is some oxidation on the hardware. Unmarked prop, 3-hook cup rig, nickel hardware, single belly weight, 2 long red hand painted gills and glass eyes. Three inches long. Unusual slate/green back with white body. The white has yellowed over time. CONDITION: Age related conditions- crazing. Chipped paint, digs. 3/4 inch thin line of missing paint near the back propeller. The leader wire and spinners are fully attached although not seen that way in every photo. This older version has the GLASS EYES. The right eye has a V-shape chip and multi-hairlines.
