WELCOME TO THE COLLECTIBLE LURE STORE ~ MEMBER OF NFLCC HEDDON ORIGINAL# 730 WOODEN PUNKINSEED SINKER ~ BLACK& WHITE SHORE MINNOW COLORATION ~ EXCELLENT-PLUS CONDITION ~ CIRCA 1940 A new lure in 1940. The original Heddon Punkinseeds were# 730, 740, and# 980. They were a real departure form traditional lure shapes. Made of wood, they were a remarkablly realistic looking"Sunfish" type lure. The original version had the line tie located under the notched mouth but within a very short time, they were moved into the mouth. The shape of the lure was also slightly modified about that time. The lure we have here is one of the# 730 wooden Punkinseeds with the line tie located in the mouth. It is in the relatively scarce Black& White Shore Minnow coloration and it has Gold eyes. Please check out the pictures carefully. This lure has ... morenever been fished and is in excellent-plus condition. The hooks. Diving lip and hardware are still bright and the finish is virtually unflawed, I can find no significant pointers or drags anywhere. The black paint finish is still glossy and the paint around the belly weight is intact although it is just beginning to develop a very slight crack-line around the perimeter. This is without a doubt one of the nicest# 730 punkinseeds that I have ever seen. It has terrific visual appeal and will make an outstanding addition to any lure collection.
