This Lucky Louie has a paint pattern very similar to the Rosegard salmon plugs. This has the red dots for the gill marks as Rosegard's do. And the colors are the same. One of the difference's is that the reddish bands on this plug run perpendicular to the body, across the back, and the Rosegard plugs have the same color as large spots on the sides of the bodies. 3 Woood Salmon Plugs, 2-Lucky Louie & 1-Unknown
Up for auction are three salmon plugs from my tackle box. Two are definitely Lucky Louie's and the third has no name on it. I will do my best to describe them for you. All three of these plugs are wooden. 1- Lucky Louie. Pearl Red or Pink, 4 3/4" long, Used, Not a lot of scratch marks on paint but i have placed white paint on the lip as can be seen in the picture. Lucky Louie stamp on top and pat. and Minser on the bottom, good condition, slight wear from being in the tackle box all these years. There is no rigging on the plug. 1- Lucky Louie. Squid coloring, silver top, white bottom, yellow scales, red around eyes, 4 1/2" long, Lightly Used, No scratch marks on paint but wood is showing minor crackling and slight wear around lip. All of the painting is complete, good condition, no rigging. 1- Unknown(single treble hook with ... morehardware on the end for weight I believe) White bottom and top, pink on sides with Black tiger stripiing.Silver top, white bottom, 3 1/2" long. Used, with scratch marks on paint from previous bouts with fish and such, fair condition, lip has wear around most of the plug. The smaller one looks to have some of the red area's touched up and as you can see in the pictures it displays the lesser condition. They both have the indented eyes and neither have hooks.
