Up for auction are five spinners from very good to excellent shape. The Colonel made in Germany Brass beads nice feathers in good hooks. A little pitting on the spinner. Hep Heddon Chrome very bright. The feathers are little matted Aglia#2 Mepps made in France They engraved this one with the British. French patent US pend. The brass is blackened in one of the hooks is bent. The finish is pitting a little on the spinner Hiluebrandt#1 Very nice chromed spinner. Spin-E-Miny Spinner is a little dirty. 13 OLD SPINNERS/LURES MEPPS-PFLUEGER-ROOSTER TAIL-SWIMMER-PLUS NO NAMES
I have 13 spinner/lures in this auction. These were a tackle box find at an estate auction. They are all used, and some have small issues. A few have names, and some have no name, and I am not a fisherman, so I won't be using them. One has a ring with little diamond looking jewels and a dimpled brass spinner, heck if there were two, they would make nice ear rings for someone. Two read: ROOSTER TAIL 4 and the other 1/6. Next one reads: SWIMMER and it has black hair and a few red feathers. A brass spinner reads; MEPPS 2 AGLIA BRITISH FRENCH PATENT U.S. PEND. and the back reads: MADE IN FRANCE. VINTAGE MEPPS COMET NO. 1 SPINNER FISHING LURE With A 1-3/4" RUBBER MINNOW RIG
Vintage Mepps No. 1 spinner fishing lure with a 1-3/4' rubber minnow rig. I obtained this lure over 30 years ago from the estate of an old avid fisherman. I have never used this lure. It has been sitting in the tackle box I received it in all these years. The spinner is silver in color but some of the finish has worn off and shows some brass. The triple hooks in the tail section are a little rusty. But still have sharp barbs. The bottom two rear fins have some damage. One is almost all gone and the other has a small tear. This lure must have been a favorite of the previous owner. The entire lure still looks great. Add it to a vintage collection or go fishing with it.
