This is a very nice Special addition Mitchell Prince 308 Ultra Light. Made in France. Ser#099163. This early model was made without the Garcia stamp. It has the spring loaded handle. Some areas on the both sides of the gear cover are a little rough where the paint needs to be touched up as you can see in the pictures. Foot is fine. Just missing some paint on it. 73-74 Garcia Mitchell 308 Up for auction is a unused G.M. 308 in original box. Including paperwork. This reel feels, works, and looks like it did roughly 40 years ago. These little guys are getting harder to find in mint or better condition, and are a nice piece to have in any Mitchell collection! In'75 they went to a cardboard window box for these reels, so the end for the clam box. Serial number on this reel is#c174?o? I believe, the last 3 numbers are tough, see the pic's. which dates this reel roughly'74. I do have a NIB 308 in the window box i will be listing, in case someone wants to fill that spot in the collection, along with some hard to find models of Mitchells. There's no box or paperwork included. The reel weighs 7.6 ounces w/o line. Has a micro adjusting drag, quick release spool- which doesn't change the drag setting and a gear ratio of around 5 to 1.
