There's no doubt the lure displays best facing to the right. NO serious nicking on the right side. Just general use and aging along with hairline scratching and crazing lines. The back or darker green stripe areas are in fine condition with one pin prick nick just behind the prop. Both props are unmarked! The left side has pin prick size and a bit larger paint flakes NOT nicks. There are NO real serious nicks on the left side either just the surface paint flaking and more of the same general use. The belly has the paint loss paint flaking around the belly weighted areas. No serious nicking on the belly. There's crazing lines and light soiling throughout. The hooks and hardware are very tarnished! Again, we think this displays best facing to the right! This is great Paw Paw history right here and great for any collection! Rare Pair Federal Brass Andirons Figural Flame and Pine Cone Finials Paw Foot NR
We are very pleased to be able to offer for auction this Rare Beautiful Pair of Federal Period Brass Andirons with No Reserve. These are a work of art as well as fireplace andirons. They are circa 1820 to 1830 and have much artistic detail. Each andiron is topped with a flame finial in brass. The base of each andiron has much detail including figural bust. Floral, scroll, classical architectural swag. The rear legs are cast iron. Each with a Pine Cone Finial. The andirons have a Paw Foot. Each andiron measures 19" tall x 9 1/2" wide x 19" deep. One cast iron leg where attached to the brass column base has had some work at some point in time possibly creating a minor crack in the seam and the rear adjusting bolt on each leg has been replaced with older bolts. Original mirror and hardware and a working locks with the key, with the original casters intact on all four feet. This chest measures a total height from the floor to the top of the mirror of 69 1/2 inches. Height from the floor to the top of the chest measures 48 inches, chest measures 38 inches wide and 22 inches deep and weighs approximately 145 lbs. The original beveled mirror measures 27 1/2 inches wide by 17 1/2 inches in height. I inherited this couch and chair. I have no idea what it is or when it was made. I listed it on some antique furniture sites and these are the responses I got: It looks like a 1930s deco-moderne sofa in a Renaissance-Revival or a Romantic-Revival style. could be victorian or a victorian copy 1920- 1940" Looks like mid 1800s(1850-1880) Victorian overstuffed settee with chair. In good condition with all that carving I'd guess $1.200-2,000. USD. The upholstery looks okay in some spots. Terrible in others. Overall, it needs work. This is an elegant federal mahogany game table circa 1880. This is an example of less is best with the simple elegant grace of the minimal but effective corner carvings. Slender but sutible pedestal, and classic carved paw feet. The table has an beautiful crotched mahogany veneer apron on three sides. The back is not veneered. The table is a good size that measures 35 3/4" wide, 17 3/8" deep, and 28 5/8" tall when closed. When open the top is 34 1/4" x 35 3/4" There is an age appropriate split in the base of the table but the base is a 2 3/4" solid piece of wood and the crack is only a surface crack. Pair of hammered silver plate(with three lions paws) champagne/wine ice buckets. They have the patina of age(am guessing it is about 75 years old) No damage and the feet are tight, strong and ready to hold lots of ice and a full bottle. The interior is a warm silver wash, not a gold wash. the gold hue is flash from the camera. The buckets measures 7-1/2" high and is 9-7/8" across the top.

Late 19thC. Satiwood & MOP Inlaid Mahogany Bookcase Arched Doors & Paw Feet
This is an absolutely stunning piece of furniture in amazing condition for the age. This piece dates to the late 1800's. We do not know the maker of this piece or the origin. This bookcase stands 66 3/8" high and has a width at the top of 53.25" The width at the base is 55" The depth at the top is 15" and at the base it has a depth of 17" The main body of this where the books are held measures 51" w x 14" d x 57.75" h. The arched doors are flanked on the sides by 3/4 columns capped with ornate finnials. There are bands of string inlay decorating the fronts of the doors. There is a third finnial capped column between the two doors as well. Each column has beautiful designs made from satinwood and accented with mother of pearl inlay. This design is also seen above the doors. The sides have raised ... moretrim molding and the top has an inlaid stip around the front and side and dental inlaid molding beneath it. The base boasts stunning winged.Bracket paw feet. The back has bun feet. The inside has a depth of 12' and has four shelves. The original round pegs have been replaced with dowels. There are some losses to the trim molding on one side of this. There do not appear to be any losses to the inlaid areas. There is a small gap on the left side between the door and the center column. There are age and use associated surface scratches and dings. These are very minor and do not detract from the piece at all. This is a stunning bookcase that was obviously well cared for.
