Vintage 4 Piece Baitcasting Rod unknown NOS Plus Pflueger Akron Reel L8. This is a very unigue little rod measures approximately 4' 8" and there is 4 pieces counting the reel handle. We didn't put the rod together since it has never been assembled thought we would let the new owner decide whether to assemble or leave it displayed like it is. There is no markings on the rod and we are possible an unmarked Shakespeare rod? Along with the rod is a Pflueger Akron reel with matching handle to the rod. It's a gorgeous combination for display for someone's collection. The Akron reel still has some of the original line on it! Please check out our other auctions. Could be buffed out with Tripoli and Jewelers rouge. Some sight corrosion on inner foot. A very nice collectible reel. Vintage Pflueger Medalist by Shakespeare 1495 CJ Single Action Fly Reel & Box
You are bidding on a beautiful vintage Pflueger Medalist by Shakespeare 1495 CJ single action fly fishing reel in its complete original box and with its original set of instructions. Made in Japan the reel is in excellent condition with no rash. Dents or marks. It comes with the stainless steel line guard to prevent rubbing on the side plates. The rod has 13/16” pillars. A 3 5/8” plate and weighs 6 oz. Mechanically it’s in excellent condition. The reel is spooled but I don’t know the rating of the line. The exterior of the box is in good to very good condition with some of the graphics missing. But is unusual in that it still has the internal Styrofoam packing material cut to fit the reel and the Pflueger emblem stuck on it. The instructions are in excellent condition and provide a wealth of information about this reel and other fly reels ... morethat Pflueger made. Pflueger Vintage 1965 Automatic Fly Casting Reel
Up for auction is this like new 1965 Pflueger Superex Model No. 755 Automatic Fly Reel. This reel looks new. It has the fly line already wound on, but it appears to have never been used. I wound the spring up and pulled the trigger and it works great, the line retreived very smoothly. It is lightweight{9 oz. and is designed for quick take-apart. It holds 32 yards of"C" line. Retrieves 24 yards of line per spring wind. Free stripping clutch allows more line to go out after spring is wound to capacity. Handsome aluminum anodized housing with stainless steel crossplate, line guide, and axle. Brass gears and stainless steel pinion. This is an awesome reel.Even the sound it puts out makes you want to be fishing! Its really smooth and well taken care of. This appears to be made from brass.Ir reads Flueger The next line reads"Trade Mark" with an etching of an elephant between the two words.Next it says Oceanic/Free Spool/Surf Cast/ patents pending It is in very good condition except the one side that has a few cracks in it. They don't appear to interfere with its use at all. The reel is very sturdy This area of the reel is also reinforced with screws in it.so I don't see it as it being a problem.There are no flaws on the reel other than the mentioned.

Up for bid is one vintage PFLUEGER AKRON No. 1894 Level Winding Casting Reel w/3.5:1 Multiplier. This reel is in very good condition. Except it has a handle from a Pflueger Supreme Cub 2542. It measures 2-1/4" diameter, 3-15/16" deep including the handle, and has a foot measuring 2-1/2" long by 9/16" wide. The foot is attached using Prince and Reed screws. Which dates it from the mid-thirties or newer. On the bottom of the foot it is inscribed with"B" There is a clicker controlled by a slide button on the rear plate and a second rotating button on the front plate controls drag or back-lash. The reel appears to be nickel or chrome plated brass. Except the spool and the handle that appear to be aluminum. On the front plate it has inscribed"Pflueger, AKRON, TRADE MARK, No. 1894, MADE IN U.S.A. On the back plate ... moreit is inscribed with"PATENTED, PAT's PEND" It is in good working condition. The plating is in very good condition except for some light surface scratching, the most notable on the back which is visible in the photo just below the inscribed words. Both the front and rear bearing caps are jeweled and in good condition. The reel appears as though it was never used. There are no marks on the foot indicating it was attached to a rod. Nice Clean Pflueger Trump #1943 Fishing Casting Reel-Clicker Doesn’t Work-Vtg
Although the clicker does not work when the switch is in either position. I still consider this reel to be in at least Good Plus condition. It’s quite clean and all of the other functions work just fine. I see no screwdriver marks on any of the screws and no scratches, scrapes, mars, etc. on it. No boat rash. It should be a simple repair for the right person. Because of the aforementioned issue, I’m selling it“as is” I’ll let the photos say the rest. I start each and every auction at $1.
