Up for auction is a 1964 Pflueger Supreme Free Spool Bait Casting Reel. This is the anniversary edition with the leaping bass emblem. It is#1576 and comes with everything you see in the first picture. You get the reel. Plastic case, 2 Pflueger Little Giant tools, extra handle(unused) box flap with description and price tag, directions for the Cub handle drag and the original receipt dated 9-3-64 from Klein's Sporting goods. The Plueger reel is in excellent condition and looks like it had little use. The plastic case is excellent with light staining on the interior white and the red felt on the bottom as all but completely come off. The 2 tools have light rust. The extra handle again is unused with the rubber covers still on. The instructions are clean in excellent condition with an 1/8" tear on one of the folds. A lovely example of this Pflueger Auto trout reel. A good reel to use and great addition to any collection. I know very little about this type of reel. I purchased it to add to my collection. It has remained in a cabinet since it was bought! There is a small scratch/dent to front of reel. This in no way affects its operation(see pictures 1 and 4) A beautifully engineered reel in great condition. Line comes off reel smoothly and on operation of trigger is automatically retreived( Neat! Very Rare Find! Pflueger Goldenwest Ice Fishing Pole and Reel. I believe the 3831 number on one side of the reel is the model number but more exciting is the"Patented Feb 10. 1903- Jan 22, 1907" engraved on the reel which can be seen clearly with the help of a magnifying glass. On the other side of the reel is the bulldog logo trademark for Pflueger Goldenwest. The reel works great. The metal pole itself is in great condition whith the exception on the small piece missing at the end of the cork handle. The metal pole with handle measures 24 1/2" Any questions.please email me.

The reel is in very good to excellent condition with zero corrosion and nice plating. The only cosmetic issue is some minor scratches on the side covers that will clean up with a little effort.
