It has nice jewels and a ... morenice finish. The reel itself is in beautiful condition: level wind. Anti-backlash, satin chrome finish in its original box. The reel works fine, and has a strong clicker. Accompanying it is its owner's guide and a new E-Z-GRIP Comfo Ring no. 430 and papers as well as a new set of handle covers no. 410 in their own box. Needless to say, time has dried out the original rubber and also the newer set of cover and handles, but it's nice to have a second set and the box to complement the reel. The handle cover box is in pretty nice and colorful condition. The fishing reel box is solid but is missing a strip on the tip where someone must have put some tape.

This is the 3rd Printing. Roughly 6 X 9 inch format softback with 185 pages. An Excellent copy for the collector. Fishing Up for consideration is a vintage Pflueger Supreme baitcasting reel made in the USA. Mechanically. The reel functions flawlessly with all operations checked. Cosmetically the reel is in very good condition with nice gray side covers and a frame that is free of corrosion. The only area of concern is a few surface scuffs on both sides and along the edges of thee side covers. Despite this, this is a decent reel that will make a nice addition to a vintage tackle collection. I DO NOT SHIP TO BRAZIL! Not sure of actual age; pamphlet lists features that include being quick and easy to take apart, a sliding button to prevent accidental tripping of lever; spring release control that lets tension go without spool turning; free stripping, can't be over wound; trip release is of chromed steel, folds against the reel for storage. The reel is in VERY nice condition. Spooled but maybe used only once or twice; slight rubs/surface scratches to metal trim but almost not worth the mention-no real wear; reel functions properly; printed vinyl case is intact and shows minimal to almost no wear, zipper working correctly; has some odd pitted marks on the base of the case but will ... moredisplay very well or still do a fine job of protecting your reel during transport to the fishing hole. In need of some serious cleaning, and possibly some minor repairs, so NO RETURNS. This reel has been lying in a box in my house for a number of years. Waiting for me to get it listed on Ebay. If you love to fish, or if you’re a collector or restorer of vintage fishing gear, this one’s for you! The last time I went fishing was in 1967 or 1968. And I know virtually nothing about fishing equipment. Here’s what I do know about this piece: Dimensions: End Cap Diameter: 2.25” Width(end cap to end cap) 2.5” Mounting Shank( 2.5” x 0.5” The main body is cast or formed heavy gauge aluminum. All connecting members and retaining screws are stainless steel. Reel handles are plastic. Or Bakelite, and have ... moresome minor wear. One is cracked near the base, but that does not appear to impair function. The mounting shank is stainless steel and is slightly curved. It is mounted to one of the round cross members with stainless steel screws. As far as I can tell. All the mechanicals on this reel work, including the reel tensioner, the guide for the fishing line take-up(not sure what it’s called, but it’s the little doodad that moves back and forth to lay the fishing line in courses on the take-up drum) and the controls all appear to turn as the manufacturer intended. The only actual negatives I see are: 1] The rubber bumper guard on the end cap(see photos) which was originally on the end cap has deteriorated over the years. And is missing. 2] The wooden sheathing for the take-up drum is scored from years of use. And has a lengthwise crack in it. This reel will be extremely well packaged to prevent any damage during shipping. Shipping charge is $6.50. USPS Parcel Post(economy) which includes postage, insurance and tracking. Here’s what I do know about this piece: Dimensions: End Cap Diameter: 2.5” Width(end cap to end cap) 2.75” Mounting Shank( 2.5” x 0.5” The main body is gray metal. Possibly cast or formed heavy gauge aluminum. All connecting members and retaining screws are stainless steel. Reel handles are black ... morepainted wood. And appear to be sound. The mounting shank is stainless steel and is slightly curved. It is mounted to one of the round cross members with rivets; these are the only rivets visible on the reel. As all other retainers are stainless steel screws. As far as I can tell. All the mechanicals on this reel work, including the reel, the reel lock-out(one way) button, the guide for the fishing line take-up(not sure what it’s called, but it’s the little doodad that moves back and forth to lay the fishing line in courses on the take-up drum) and the controls all appear to turn as the manufacturer intended. The only actual negative I see is the rubber bumper guard on the end cap(see photos) which has deteriorated over the years. This is a vintage Pflueger#1573 Supreme quadruple multiplying. Level-wind, bait casting reel. The reel is in excellent unrestored condition except for the rubber caps on the handle, which are dried and cracked. This reel comes with the box, 2 extra rubber caps for the handles, instructions, reel bag, and tool. The handle and level-wind move smoothly and the clicker is strong. One side plate is tear drop shape and 2 1/2" long. The other side plate is 2 1/4" in diameter. The box has been taped considerably and is solid as a result although most of the graphics are now covered. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
