It has nice jewels and a ... morenice finish. The reel itself is in beautiful condition: level wind. Anti-backlash, satin chrome finish in its original box. The reel works fine, and has a strong clicker. Accompanying it is its owner's guide and a new E-Z-GRIP Comfo Ring no. 430 and papers as well as a new set of handle covers no. 410 in their own box. Needless to say, time has dried out the original rubber and also the newer set of cover and handles, but it's nice to have a second set and the box to complement the reel. The handle cover box is in pretty nice and colorful condition. The fishing reel box is solid but is missing a strip on the tip where someone must have put some tape.

Plastic case, 2 Pflueger Little Giant tools, extra handle(unused) box flap with description and price tag, directions for the Cub handle drag and the original receipt dated 9-3-64 from Klein's Sporting goods. The Plueger reel is in excellent condition and looks like it had little use. The plastic case is excellent with light staining on the interior white and the red felt on the bottom as all but completely come off. The 2 tools have light rust. The extra handle again is unused with the rubber covers still on. The instructions are clean in excellent condition with an 1/8" tear on one of the folds. E-mail with any questions you may have. Hand tag, original store receipt, Pflueger reel oil and marked Pflueger wrench, owners guide and other literature for the Pflueger Cub handle, and an extra handle Mechanically the reel seems to operate as it should. Smooth as silk with a properly functioning drag. Click and level wind. There is some residual rubber around each screw on the back plate where the old rubber rim once was. It has since crumbled away. Offering for Auction this Vintage Pflueger Supreme 1576 Baitcast Reel. Called the Anniversary Supreme Reel. The reel features phosphor bronze gears and bearings. Machined aluminum spool, cast alloy aluminum side plates and is powder coated to protect from corrosion, it is chrome plated over a brass frame. The free spool is a button located in the center of the double nob fighting crank and is flanked by the star drag. Has a line out alarm, on/off anti-reverse. This vintage fishing reel is in like new condition with only a few scratches and stains and it is in great working condition. From what I have been able to find. It was made circa 1935. It is a level wind- anti-back lash reel with a satin finish and quadruple tested. Included with the reel and the original box is the original 8 page instruction manual with tear down directions. Line capacity and how to take care of instructions. There is also the original little strung on instruction tag. There is also a spare Pflueger Cub Drag double handle No. 2542 and instructions on how to use. Also included. In it's original wrapped package is a Comfo Ring and 2 E-Z Grip Handle Covers No. 410 and directions. There is the Pflueger Little Giant tool. A partially used tube of Pflueger Iron Free Gear Grease No. 2120 and a Pflueger Cork Arbor No. 412 ... moresize 7/8 inch. The original brown Pflueger bag is starting to deteriorate with pieces of the outside fabric falling off. Pflueger Supreme Baitcasting Reel for Repair or Parts - Still Operational
Up for sale is one of my Pflueger Supreme Baitcasting Reel Right Hand model. 11 Ball Bearings. I stepped on this reel during a tournament and broke one of the handles off. The reel also has a slight roughness in one spot when reeling. The level wind and pawl is operating properly. The reel still works fine. Just has one spot where it is slightly rough. Find another handle and this reel would probably last for years. These are real tough reels and I still have several of them, just doing some spring cleaning and getting some cash for future purchases. No reserve and low starting price. Heck if nothing else buy it for the parts. The last reel I shipped was about 250 miles up the road and it cost $4.50 with tracking number. Rather than figure out shipping to lower 48, I am simply charging a flat fee of $6.00. Payment due within 3 days via paypal.

Pflueger Supreme 1573 with Gunsight Level Wind
This is a Pflueger Supreme 1573 with gunsight level wind. Has amber ribbed handles. My research indicates it was made around 1918. I know very little about fishing reels. This one turns easily. The"gunsight" goes across the bar and then hits a little"ear" at the end and goes back and hits an"ear" at the other end. There is some wear of the finish in this area. Probably caused by friction with the fishing line. Overall finish appears to have dulled with age. I believe it could be brightened with cleaning. Reel was stored with line on the spool resulting in some surface patina. Some nicks and scratches on surface. Not a deal breaker though. All functions of the reel are in very good condition. Overall a very nice reel. There is the letter"B" stamped on the bottom of the reel. Reel diameter: 2-5/16" Spoon diameter 1-5/8" Width: Reel housing 2-1/2" Weighs 7-1/2 oz.
