There is how ever some light bubbling around the eyes. This is a used vintage lure. And does show signs of age, such as paint rub and corrosion on the hooks etc. Please take a close look at all the photos before purchasing. These are original vintage Heddon River Runt lures.In great shape.Everything is in tact these would make a great addition to any vintage lure collection.The hooks have some light salt air corrosion from being in storage at the beach for the last 25+ years.As far as i can tell they have never been used in salt water and there is no other corrosion.The finish on them is excellent and show little to no signs of use.There is a guy on Ebay selling a black and white one like the one I have for almost $100 just for that 1 lure.I am selling with NO RESERVE!

This lure is a special re-issue of the Heddon River Runt as a part of the celebration of the centennial. 1894- 1994, of the James Heddon's Son's Company. The lure is new in the box. There is one tiny imperfection in the paint most likely done at the factory. I tried to show it in the 3rd picture but it's too light to be distinguishable. The paperwork which accompanies this lure gives a brief discussion of the Heddon Company and on the reverse side an interesting history of the development of the River Runt lure. STUNTER" LURE CONDITION: The lure measures aprox. 2" long in body length and 3" overall with lip. One thing is for sure. You'll never see this a prettier color combo. The lure has outstanding patina! This is believed to be plastic as you can see some eye sockets from the molded lure body. Any nicking is readily seen in our photos below as small white specks on the nice looking Rainbow. The right side has a small scratch or two just above the lip. This has a light hook swing on the right side A larger nick is seen near the tail on the right side. The top has a small impression and paint flake. There's a paint flake near the left eye. The lure displays best facing to the RIGHT. Crazing lines are running every which direction throughout. The left side has no nicking other than the small flake by the eye. The belly is in fine shape with a hook impression mark right near the hook hanger. The hooks are slightly tarnished. See the rub spot paint loss areas on the belly. looks like this one may have had a'fish bite" The Runt has some scattered nicks that look like they may be small teeth marks. This displays best facing right or left and slightly tilted back as seen below. There's a nick at the underside of the nose. We see one small nick or impression on the right side. There's some small nicks on the lower side more counting for the belly. The head and nose areas looks nice. The back has the hook swing or bite near the tail. The left side has three nicks and a small scratch below the eye. The belly has the general use rubbing. The hooks are lightly aged and tarnished as is the cup dive lip. PAIR Published NICE!! Vintage Folk Art Baby Vamp and River Runt Heddon Lures
With exceptional craftsmanship and paint these lures present themselves extremely well. All lures in the Kieny collection by this maker were originally found in a partitioned Pflueger dealer box in the floor rafters of the basement in a house located in north Pittsburg. Pennsylvania PA. The house had been scheduled for demolition, and, fortunately for us collectors, these great fisherman made lures were salvaged. This is the next lot of several I will be adding in the next weeks, so be sure to check back often. This pair is so special that each is shown both on page 169 of the Siblings and Collections Section AND the Books Title Page itself. That's right. The title page. Note the screw secured. Hand cut tin diving lips and the exceptional quality red scale type paint jobs. Also sit back and think about how the maker actually crafted the ... morefixed wire-through construction in both directions. I cannot imagine hand crafting these lures. The bulls-eye paint eyes are also sweet. You just rarely find hand rendered. Fisherman made folk art copies which I call"vintage folk art classics. of this kind of build and paint quality. If you collect Heddon plastic or wood River Runts, Heddon Vamps, Baby Vamps or Heddon facsimilies don't miss this chance to add a GREAT pair to your collection. Unfortunately. The actual maker has never been identified. The sweet paint jobs, great build quality(with many like the Basser having recessed glass eyes) make these special among other"copycat" Co. lures made by fisherman who couldn't afford a store-bought example. Check out the GREAT, raised" spotted paint on the Basser- it also features a deeply carved out mouth painted red so if used on the surface at all, it will definitely bulge the water! Rare James Heddon and Sons River Runt Spook Sinker. New In Box- paper. Old Lure
Up for Auction is hard to find Timber Rattler Fishing Lure Code number X0100 GRA E5. A Clector Series paint pattern. Lure was made by James Heddon Lure Company Circa 1980's. Lure is approx. 2 1/4" long and made of White Cedar. A very well made and well painted old lure. Sadly they don't make these fine old baits anymore. Old Fish Lure is in excellent condition and looks to be never fished. Old Lure Box is also in good condition with some shelf wear. Lure was removed from package to take photo's. Please see. old HEDDON VINTAGE FISHING LURE snag proof RIVER RUNT spook weedless sinker rare
I have several auctions running this week but I think this may be the most interesting. Up for bid is a Heddon River Runt Spook Sinker. It has the heavy duty weedless harness. It is well made. You just don't see this type of quality anymore. Lure is in very good condition. I haven't cleaned it. Some minor rust underneath, typical of these lures. Bottom is transparent. You can see the internal screws if you hold it up to the light. Just a fantastic lure! Thanks for looking. I combine shipping and will pay return shipping if not happy.
