For auction is a salmon plug fishing lure. It is marked Made in Canada and in the mouth it has 90. I can't find a manufacturer's mark. Back in the day my husband put us through college by guiding salt water charters in the cold waters of Alaska in the late 80s. Early 90's. He's been holding on to his old fishing gear for a couple of decades now without use and decided it was time to part.much to my surprise. This set has been used but overall they look to be in good condition. Of course there are some areas where the color is worn off from use. Just look at the pictures for how much and where. HEDDON KING BASSER VINTAGE FISHING LURE SALMON PLUG - YELLOW SCALE - A BEAUTY!
Here's a great vintage 1920's Heddon Basser Yellow Scale Red Gill salmon fishing lure. It has a wood body and glass eyes. It measures 5" and is in extra nice shape with only a few minor hook points on the body and two nicks on the lip. The mouth plate that says Heddon Basser on it is slightly pitted but you can still clearly read Heddon Basser on it. I've tried to show the nice condition of the lure in the pictures but feel free to ask any questions or for more pictures. You won't find very many of these lures in this nice of condition. THIS HAS A CHIPPED PAINT SPOT ON THE BOTTOM OF THE BILL. THE SECOND IS A VERY RARE NAVY BLUE SIZE 5 THAT IS TRANSLUCENT AND ALLOWS LIGHT TO PERMEATE THE BODY. vintage Minser LUCKY LOUIE 4 1/2" pressed Eye WOODEN Fishing PLUG. marked as shown. Has been heavily fished- has some serious bite marks. Quite a bit of wear. Very fine longitudinal paint cracks. Overall still fish-able condition- the tyee pool guys here in Campbell River repaint these old plugs. And they keep on catching big springs.
