This is a beautiful Roseville Primrose series vase from the 1930's. The color is more like the first(redder) photos which were taken with a flash. The lighter. More mauve images, were taken under natural light. It measures 6 1/2" high and 6" wide at handle tips. The vase is in very good overall condition with no chips, cracks or crazing. The bottom is lightly inscribed with"Roseville" and perhaps the pattern number but these are difficult to make out. Note that I also have a larger pink Primrose vase up for auction, which would make a nice companion piece. A discount will be given for combined shipping.

These majolica tureens are among the most attractive and desirable pieces of majolica and this is a very fine example from George Jones. It has been in private hands for many years- in fact since new. And this is the first time it has been offered for sale. The dimensions of this large tureen are: Length 19" 48.5cm) x Width 8 1/2" 21.5cm) x Height(at lowest) 4"10cm) Condition is excellent! The base is very clean. Mottled green and brown with Lozenge registration mark which is very indistinct. The interior of the the base is pale majolica pink and very clean, just a few minute firing bubbles. The edges of the basket weave base are excellent. Just a few very tiny areas of missing enameling flake on the tips of basket edge. The lid edges(one very tiny ... morearea of missing enamel) also a tiny area of missed enamel where the mid belly of the Salmon meets the lid. Hardly worth mentioning though, lovely condition throughout. Colour: Very fresh and bright. The basket is warm mid brown. The lid vivid majolica emerald green leaves/ferns and the salmon in naturalistic colours. This iconic piece is a must in any collection of Majolica! Stunning centerpiece for any table. Up for auction is a Hardy Uniqua. The reel is 3 3/4 inches in diameter. And has a rim tension control and telephone latch. Mark II check, and stamped with the initials JRJ on the inside. Designed for right hand wind, but is currently set up as a left hand wind reel(it can be switch by simply reversing the pawl) The only real fault is the seat, which has been filed on both ends. A Real Masterpiece of native carving! Mr. Gino Seward is a Master Carver from the Westcoast of Canada. British Columbia. Gino has been carving yellow and red cedar for over 30 years. He was born in Nanaimo. Vancouver Island. Gino's blood is mixed, his father is Coast Salish and his mother is from the Kwakiutl nation. Gino became involved in art and carving when he was 11 years old. He was taught by his Salish grandfather and by the Kwakiutl master carvers Jackson Robertson and William Robertson. You see great similarities. Great attention to details, very deep, bold and clean carving. This piece is realy spectacular: A Salmon made of SOLID OLDGROWTH YELLOW CEDAR. This is a 16 inch wide X 16 inches tall cedar sign. It has been hand painted onto 1/2-3/4 inch thick cedar planks. Our signs are put onto salvaged lumber or beachcombed wood we find after winter and spring storms that have washed lumber and other wood debris onto the beaches. After it was painted it was left outside to weather a few storms to give it that worn look. The newly cut ends have been painted to give them a matching color look like the rest of the wood sign.
