Rare L.W. HOLMES bonefish and salmon fly fishing reel in BOX
This is a very unusual L.W. Holmes bonefish. Salmon and steelhead reel in near-mint condition, in the original box. Leslie W. Holmes made fly, salmon and a very few baitcasting and deep-sea reels in Oronoque, Conn. a village of Stratford, from after WWII until his death around 1952. These are very well made reels. This one has an on/off click and a drag that you can tighten by turning the knurled center knob. Unusual finish on this reel, too. This one has a spool that's 3 3/8" in diameter and 1" wide. Right-hand wind reel in excellent condition with clearly marked original box, as you can see in the photos. I doubt this reel has ever had a line on it. Fish it or collect it. This is a rare opportunity to acquire a mint Edwards Deluxe Salmon Rod from the 1930s(Gene Edwards Era) This is the No 200 12' rod cataloged in the mid to late 1930s. The rod comes in a tube indicating it was made by E.W. Edwards& Sons division of the Horton Manufacturing Co. Bristol, Conn. The tube does not indicate the model number or the length or weight, but it is a 3/2 spey rod with each section of equal 49" length and straight. These dimensions result in a 12' rod when assembled. The only markings on the rod are Edwards"DeLuxe" above the hook keep and"patent applied for" engraved on the reel seat. It has an agate stripping guide, 12 running guides and the tip top. I believe the rod is new in its original tube and bag. The cork is covered in a plastic wrap which I presume was placed there at manufacture. ... moreThe rod shows no signs of use. Huge 6"+ Vintage Luhr Jensen Krocodile Salmon Trolling Fishing Lure Spoon
Selling two vintage Krocodile lures. The large one is over 6" long excluding the hook. The smaller one is about 4.5" long. The large spoon is a thick. Massive hunk of metal. It was once painted, but the paint on top side has been removed. Both lures have scratches and such. The chrome on the large spoon was obviously high quality, but there are nicks and stuff. I know the large spoon is at least 20 years old. Not sure about other. Great spoons for refinishing. The buyer will receive a $2.00 refund when added to another spoon lot. This is a postally used. Divided back(1907-1915) real photo postcard. No. 765 PUB. by Pacific Novelty Co. of San Francisco, Calif. Made in Germany" Its condition isgood to very good. The colors are bright and the picture is sharp. The corners and edges show some wear. The front reads; One of the Packing Company's Plants. Astoria, Ore. Built in 1897. The Union Fisherman's Cooperative Packing Company processed and canned salmon, tuna, and various other Northwest fish, and became the salmon canning capital of the world. It remained a fishermen-owned business until the late 1940's, and much of the architecture of the original cannery building has been retained. This is an great vintage and historic 100 year old postcard.

Her two boys had no children and lived out of state and were not interested in anything from the house and so they sold us the house as it sat, full of all her and her family's treasures. We had been remodeling our century old home for the last year and a half and were just about finished when we purchased the home. This home was full from the basement, first and second floors to the floored attic. There was literally just a path through every room. We packed everything away and put the house up for sale after fixing it up. Now that we are finished with that, I will be listing the treasures we found there along with all of our treasures.
