Vintage Shakespeare Wooden Pike DD Pike-Getum Lure Hong Kong Frog Pattern used
You are looking at a Vintage Shakespeare Wooden Pike-Getum lure made in Hong Kong. The color patter is what I believe they call: Frog” The colors are really strong. The eyes are either plastic or glass and are glued to the lure. There is no rust on the lure and it measures approximately 5 1/2 inches. However, it is a used lure and there are signs of wear. This lure came from one of my Uncle's Sears Craftsman Ted Williams tackle boxes. He can no longer fish because of health reasons and my Aunt asked me to find new homes for his gear. Because he lives in Homosassa Springs. Florida the lures have been exposed to salt air and water. But since these are freshwater lures, I believe he only used them, if at all, at his summer home near Flint, Michigan. For shipping I am quoting USPS First Class. "Rare" Blackhawk Enterprises Fish Spearing Decoy Fishing lure,Heddon,Shakespeare
Up for your consideration. I have a very hard to find Vibra-Coy fishing decoy. The Blackhawk Enterprises, also known as"Vivra-Coy" was a combanation fishing lure and fish decoy. The company started in 1951 and closed in 1952. Blackhawk decoys had a very limited production and are very desireable and hard to find. Theo"Ted" Himmerwright of Edgerton, Wisconsin ran the company and gives credit for the decoys to Mr. george S. Bachay, a sportswriter for the Janesville, wisconsin newspaper, the gazette. The decoys came in a cardboard box with the blackhawk fish decoy on the top. Overall, the decoy/box are in very good condition, from 1 thru 10, I would rate them a 7 or 8. The fourth and only other bait that was shown in that 1902 catalog was the Shakespeare Evolution Minnow. It is toally unlike the three Revolution baits. This lure is molded in the shape of a minnow and has propellers on both ends that are mounted on a wire that extends through the body. It is outfitted with three treble hooks and was available in three sizes. This lure was last shown in Shakespeare's 1934 catalog. The lure we have here is one of those very early Evolution Minnow Baits. It is 2-7/8" in length and the propellers are marked"Shakespeare" and"Made in USA. Please check out the pictures thoroughly. It is in good condition considering that it is now likely to be over 100 years old. The hooks. Hardware and propellers are all good with a minimum amount of light oxidation. The overall body coloration is good and the painted red gills are still bright. The eyes are good but do have a minimum amount of surface wear from storage. Lot of 2 Rare Old Antique Vintage Wood Shakespeare & Unknown Injured Minnow Lure
Lot of 2 Rare Old Antique Vintage Wood Shakespeare& Unknown Injured Minnow Lures! These are Vintage Injured Minnow Style wood lures. The bodies measure 3 inches and the overall length with hardware measures 3 1/2 inches. The black lure might be a repaint. The White lure has no markings to indicate what brand and the Gold Shiner has Shakespeare Little Lucky Dog stenciled in blue on the belly. The Gold Shiner is in great shape and appears to have never been fished. The white lure has hook rub, hook pointers, tackle box rash and ageline cracks as indicated in the pictures. These came from my personal collection and are only being sold to help pay for another vehicle. Keep checking as numerous vintage and newer lures will be up for auction over the next couple of weeks.
