I am listing my"River Runt" style lure collection. Many brands. 40 to 50 lures in mostly VG condition. Please check back to see more. Unknown Mfg. My Favorite Unknown"Runt-Style" Lure. This little guy has been a part of my Runt Style collection for quite a while. I never was able to I.D. it. So I'm left thinking that some very gifted painter may have refinished a Shur Strike River Master, or similar lure. Just not sure. The paint is almost impossible to describe or capture in photos. The face and back are a brownish-maroon, there is an underlying base of silver with maroon scales on the sides. But the sides also have subtle gold diagonal bars and a hint of olive. It has light maroon under the lip and a silver metallic belly. The glass eyes are fluorescent red& black. Shur-Strike by Creek Chub - Baby Bass Oreno and Runt-style Lure Lot
Up for bid are two Shur-Strike lures made by Creek Chub. The first is a Baby Bass Oreno BBO in Pikie color. Approximately 3 inches long with glass eyes and cup rig. The paint on this lure is nearly perfect with one tiny hook pointer near the tail on the left side and a slight factory blemish on the right side of the lip in the front. The Bass-Oreno comes in the correct 2-piece cardboard box stamped“BBO-O” on one end of the lid. The box is structurally sound with no tears or rips and shows light to moderate edge and corner wear with very light staining on the lid. The second lure is a Floating Heddon Runt model FHR-9 in green scale color. This lure has painted tack eyes with no paint loss. Light to moderate age lines in the belly and along the back, a small hook pointer near the right eye and what looks like a dark magic marker line ¼ ... moreinch long in front of the left eye. Extremely Rare Creek Chub/ Shur Strike Triple Threat Lures w/ Box!
Vintage Creek Chub/ Shur Strike Triple Threat Lures w/ Box! For your consideration is an Extremely Rare and Historically Significant box called the Shur Strike Triple Threat Lure box! This has been described by many as the Holy Grail of fishing tackle! This box was made around 1936 by the Creek Chub Bait Company under the brand name Shur Strike. The extremely rare dark teal paper covered box measures about 6" x 5 1/4" and features the Shur Strike Three Proven Fish Getters interior lid label along with the original cloth hinge. Cloth hinge looks clean and in excellent condition along with the interior lid label that also looks to be in excellent condition. The box has obvious wear and damage which includes a small split on the right side of the lid. Cracking is evident on the back side of the lid. This beautiful box also comes with ... morethree Shur Strike baits: Style G(Slope Nose) which comes in either Brown Back Scale. Dark Scale or Shiner Scale color scheme. I would guess Dark Scale as this box came out around 1936 but again it's only a guess. The other two baits are: Style E(Underwater Minnow) in Extremely Rare& Uncataloged color Black Spotted and Style A(Slant Nose) in White w/ Red Head. All three lures have age lines and chips. There is a small blemish in one eye on the Style E lure so the eyes are not perfect. Since I am not a Shur Strike lure expert I cannot guarantee that these three lures are the three that are original to the box but that is how how I found it when I acquired this great combo. From my own judgment I would say this is a great package in very nice condition for such a delicate and historically significant box. Don't miss your chance to own a piece of history. Don't miss it!
