Vintage Telescope Collapsible Steel Fishing Rod w/Case
Up for bid is a vintage Telescope collapsible steel fishing rod and cloth case. This rod has a reversible handle. One side can be used for fly fishing and the other side can be used for regular fishing. Collapsed it measures 32" and fully extended it measures 108" or 9" The cork handle is in excellent condition. There is minimal surface rust where rod collapses. All of the eyes look good. There is minimal damage to the rod itself(pictured) The cloth case has a few holes at the seem(pictured) I have looked everywhere on rod and cannot find a name on it anywhere. It is a one piece steel rod with a wooden handle. A soldered on eye and a soldered tiptop. It also is marked but most of the paper label is missing. We buy and sell rods and see a lot of different rods. We have had a couple of Premax rods but we've never seen one of these before. This one is used but in overall good condition. I think that it originally had a red enamel finish on the rod but that has worn away for much of the length. I think it only ever had the one eye. This vintage(1940's/1950's? 55" long True Temper steel casting fishing rod is in very good used condition. The 46 1/2" long rod section has just minor finish wear(the four eyelets are all securely attached. The decal that's on the rod is worn. So I'm not sure what model this rod is(zoom or enlarge photo#8 for a closer look at what's left of the decal. The 10" long handle has just minor age& use wear. The 5 3/4" long bakelite or plastic reel seat, and the 4 1/4" long cork handle have no splits or cracks. The reel seat is marked: TRUE TEMPER PRODUCT GENEVA-OHIO PATENT NO. 2252054. The rod comes with the original True Temper Guarantee/care/use tag and the original green cloth bag/case. The bag is in very good condition with no smoke or musty odors and no tears or repairs, but there is some discoloration ... moreon the flap(seen in photo#1. A nice American Challenger STEEL Fishing Rod. The Handle plate says"A True Temper Product Geneva Ohio" It is in great shape almost new. Almost I say because it say in my garage for many years never used and time has aged it a bit. The cork handle still has the original plastic wrapping and tape on it from when it was purchased. The eyelets are in fine shape minus some paint loss or discoloration. The first section of the rod does show some staining of some sort possibly from when it was manufactured since there is no chip or scrapes in the coating over the steel. The last picture shows it. Vintage Black 4 Piece Young of Harrow Otter Steel Rod w/Cork Handle Rubber Tip. This 7 ft 4 section fly/casting rod is black steel with rubber button on the end and cork handle is 11 3/8" long. The reel seat has been stamped Otter Steel Rod Pat. April 02. 07. This antique has red agate eye and a tunnel guide on the first section and ferrules are good with a tight fit at 35" long. The next section is 20" long and has like a double metal eye. Some of the black paint has chipped or wore off. There are spots of rust showing please check the photos. The last section the tip is 20" long with a again double steel eye and an red agate tip. Even with the rust this is a very nice rod in good condition fully intact.

Research.and many viewed photos makes me believe that this is a'Bristlol' manufactured three section seamed steel flyrod.manufactured prior to 1910.it is not stamped with any identifying marks.although someone stated somewhere on-line that the very early ones were not.they also stated tbat the very early ones had a wooden knob on the handle end prior to the start of the cork. Which this one has.but i cannot find any solid confirmation of this.see pics.it is missing the bent metal finger hook from the handle.has pretty much no more shellac left on the rod, and has some worn spots on the cork.brass tubing connector furrels are intact, connector ports are not cracked and are tight, line guides.I believe are silver.are all great.even inner races of the guides.red in color aggate.are all great.see pics.enjoy the old vintage rod!

ANTIQUE WINCHESTER 4 PC STEEL FISHING ROD W/BAG MODEL 5565
Winchester Model 5565 4 piece steel casting rod with bag. The rod sections measure 16 1/4 inches each and still retain their original amber agate guides. They do exhibit some paint wear from use. The butt section measures 9 1/2 inches and is engraved with the Winchester trademark and model number. The handle cork is in good shape. Though it is soiled and has a handful of small voids. All the sections fit together nicely. The bag has considerable staining and is worn through in two spots of the flap. The stitching is still well-intact. Will be carefully packaged and shipped Priority Mail.

The first fishing pole pictured extends to be much long. It says on it"Bristol" Model 9 on it. It measures 39 1/4" from one end to the other when it is not extended. The next item pictured is a cane pole. There is three sections to it. No names or markings on it either. The three sections measure 51 1/4" 48 1/2" and 48 1/4" long from one end to the other. The last fishing pole pictured has a reel on it. The reel says Minuteman 1810. The fishing pole comes apart in one spot to be smaller for storage. It measures 71" long from one end to the other. Up for sale is a very nice Seeker live bait casting rod G-270-7' with a Mahi sticker. I bought this rod for a mahi/sailfish trip that was cancelled and so I am selling it. The rod and guides are in excellent shape but there is some superficial wear on the guide wrap clear coat. The guides are rust free. No pitting, and no scrapes or gouges. The rod is ready to fish and would make an excellent live bait rod for many applications in the 12(15) 20 lb. like class!

Pflueger Akron "Knuckle Buster" #1893 Reel & Matching Steel 4' 2" Fishing Rod
This vintage Pflueger has a little bit of dust on it but it functions perfectly. The 4'ft 2"in steel rod is matching for reel but has no markings I can find as to its make.There is some rust on the metal part of the rod handle where the reel seat is but the wood is in good shape. The rod and guides just look a bit oxidised. There are two guides only and the tip-top guide ring is broken off the tip-top as shown in picture but the rod is not bent. This is a classic reel and the old steel rods are hard to find.
