The length is just under 5 feet long. The line guides are made of some type of Red color plastic or glass. This old steel fishing rod is neat and in used condition. Antique True Temper Fishing Rod Square Steel 55" 1 piece. Bakelite Handle PP
Antique True Temper(American Fork and Hoe Co. Square Steel Fishing Rod. 55 inch, 1 piece. Marked Patent Pending. Probably dates from 1925 to 1930 when True Temper received their first patents. But I could be wrong. There are no patent numbers(or numbers of any kind) to be found on the piece. It does not have the Speedlock introduced in the mid 30's but the standard screw and plate. Two of the three guides are secure. The third could use a tightening but is not in danger of falling off. The Bakelite part of the handle is in good condition with no cracks or chips, just surface wear. The cork handle shows wear but no missing pieces. It has been repaired(re-glued) by an amateur at some point(see photos) The Bakelite name plate under the reel mount has a crack. The rod is secure in the handle. All in all, the rod is in good shape. Description: This lot consists of a Vintage Waltco Glasscaster Coiled Steel Fishing Rod from the 1950's or 1960's. The length of the rod is approximately 23-1/2" It's a great rod for ice fishing. And for fishing from a boat where space is limited. It also works great for a child as it is easier to control and therefore much safer for all involved. It is an excellent backup rod for all situations as it is easy to store and transport, and is able to accommodate even the largest freshwater fish. The handle of the rod has some issues. Here is a old vintage steel fishing rod. Marked"Bristol" on the reel seat. There are 4 sections total and 3 of the sections extend out and self-store in each other. Length when closed is about 39 inches. The overall extended length is about 102 inches(about 8 1/2 feet) Some wear to the paint. 3 of the line guides are good and securely mounted. The 3rd line guide from the top is a bit loose. The base section rod itself is 6 sided(hexagon) The handle is cork and is in nice condition for this material. It has just a little chipping at the base. The metal handle butt cap is present. Both reel seat clamps are good(aluminum ring and iron theaded round nut) Main stem of handle is aluminum I see no serious damage nor repairs. I took several photos so you judge the cosmetic condition from the photos. Some wear from handling and use but overall ... morequite nice condition. I do not know how old it is but it is vintage. It is a neat looking an unusual vintage fishing collectable. It is in as found condition and will look even better if properly cleaned. See photos for details. Vintage Steel Hexigon Telescopic 8' 4" Fishing Rod Bristol? ITEM DESCRIPTION This Vintage Steel Hexigon Telescopic 8' 4" Fishing Rod shows signs of age and wear including scratches. Scuffs, and corrosion. There is some surface rust on the bottom section shown in a photo below. The rest of the copper coated steel is in pretty good condition. The handle has a few marks in the rubber and it looks like it's missing an end piece? The guides are stainless and show signs of wear from putting the rod on the ground. There are no maker marks on the rod but this sure looks like a Bristol compared to others I have found online. There are a couple small stickers on the rod but they are not readable. Vintage Ice Fishing Steel Rod Reel Shakespeare 1950 ED Direct Drive Cork Handle. This is a nice custom setup. The rod is actually a full length round steel rod that has been shortened for ice fishing. The rod has a cork handle and a very unique knurled circular clamp for the means of clamping the reel down to the solid aluminum mount. The reel is a Shakespeare Direct Drive 1950 ED and is in excellent condition. No missing screws and it cranks nicely. It has some neat multi-color nylon line on it. This setup is ready to go at a moments notice. Just attach you favorite lure and you're ready to go. The rod measures 26" in length total. Please check the photos and bid accordingly. Only wear is a little to sticker and on the wooden handle it looks like there was maybe a price tag on it at one time. The paper package it came in says Genuine Premax High Carbon Tempered Steel Rod No. 1209. The sticker reads A Genuine PREMAX Products Made in Niagara Falls U.S.A. Reg. U.S. Pat. OFF PREMAX. Vintage J.C. Higgins Steel Fishing Rod With Pistol Grip Handle and Sleeve Case
Up for auction is sa vintage J.C. Higgins steel fishing rod with the pistol grip handle and the original green cloth storage case. It measures 51-1/2 inches long overall including the handle. The handle by itself measures 10 inches long. The pistol grips are bakelite as is the knob at the top of the handle. Both grips are marked J.C. Higgins and Pistol Grip. The rod has all of it's eyelets and is straight. The cloth bag still has part of the tag which has J.C. Higgins and the number 3022(model number? The rod and handle are in nice condition. Tigress Outrigger Rod Holder Stainless Steel Boat Fishing Tackle Trolling Marine
Tigress Stainless Steel Outrigger Rod Holders(2) in very nice used condition. These have been in storage for about a year. I don't have use for them anymore. Listing includes both in the picture and free shipping. They're stainless steel and I used them only about 3 times. One of them is slightly warped at the butt end of the rod as shown in the picture but it does not affect the performance and it can be bent back. Just wrap a towel around the bent end and bend it back with a vice grip or C Clamp. I just haven't gotten around to it. They shine up real nice and are good quality stainless steel as they show no rust. Any questions just ask. No returns as I've described accurately.
