Classic 44" Long Quad Spring Steel Freshwater Casting Rod From France Fishing
This is an unusual vintage rod. The shaft is four-sided spring steel. Stamped on one side"FRANCE" and the othe"MADE IN FRANCE" No other identification. I think that the reel seat is nickel silver. Note that the seat is missing a butt cap. I believe that the short grip is turned walnut. The strange thing is that the reel seat is opposite the guides on the rod shaft, which makes no sense since the line would have to cross over the rod shaft to get to the guides, creating friction points. Figure it out. Never saw one before, probably never will again.

True Temper Steel Rod with sleeve and case freshwater fishing vintage
This is a true piece of American history. It is only about 5' overall. The reel holder has the imprint"The American Fork and Hoe Co. Geneva, Ohio. The sleeve keep the rod from getting damaged and it also can be lubricated to keep the rod from rusting. The rod has a little surface rust on it that I will leave for the new owner to take care of if they want. Also the eyelet at the end of the rod has one of the struts loose which can easily be soldered. This is from about the'50s. The case is like canvas with the True Temper logo on it. It is all original. Check our other items The reel you would use might be spin cast or casting.

This is an uncommon example of an early 20th century steel telescopic fishing rod from the Union Hardware Company. Torrington, Conn. USA. It is marked as the"Samson Steel Rod" and it does have a great feel to it, it is surprisingly light and flexible. It extends telescopically from a minimum length of 40 inches to a maximum of 10 feet. The cork handle is a little worn as shown but is intact and the rod is fully functional, although it looks as though there should have been a cap on the handle end. vintage Bristol 3 telescoping Steel fly rod fishing pole NICE
I have listed a vintage Bristol 3 telescoping steel fly rod which measures 8'6" when extended. Straight, no bends and 3'4" collapsed length. The cork is in good condition considering the age(no missing cork) and the reel seat is in very nice condition. The hexagon steel rod has some minor rust spots(nothing major) All four stainless steel eyes are in very good condition( no bends, dents or detachments) The main butt section of the rod has a factory green paint. The extended portions of the rod have a copper colored cast to them. The company logo Bristol is at the butt of the rod and Bristol 3 is on the reel seat. This is a True Temper Raider Square Steel rod. It measures 55 1/2" from tip to handle end. It is in nice shape, just dirty. Has Pat no 80990 has a second one also but did not get it. Also has a Pflueger Summit 1993L Jeweled reel that works just fine, well used and missing one of the jewel caps, the crank side cap. I love finding setups like this, just like when Grandpa put it away.

2 Vintage/Antique Fishing Fly rods- both in good used condition- I say"good" because they are sturdy and it doesn't look like anything is broken off- I'm no expert. However, so please look over the pictures carefully. Some rust- not sure what the original colors were- appears to be green on the one rod. Cork on the handle seems to be in good shape- no major chunks out of it. Something that could possibly be missing.some of the eyelets have colored inserts in them- not all do. I could not find a brand name or country of origin on these but they are heavy duty and very nice. There is very minor indication that they have been used. The inside diameter of the plastic insert is 1.5" The tubes are 2" outside. These require 8" of clearance below the deck surface. Minimum surface mount area required is 3 1/4" x 4 1/8" and they are 1/4" thick on the deck surface. They hold a rod at 30 degrees angle.
