I also cleaned the cork handle and applied U-40 Cork Seal. There are 4 guides (including the tip). All guides are nice and tight. The 2 middle eyes are made of agates. When you move the rod around a light it has an awesome unique look. The first guide and the tip, I believe, are made of ceramic. Just above the cork it reads “Winchester Trade Mark Made In U.S.A. 5570.” The butt cap was shot so I replaced it with a new one. The rod weighs 6.8 oz.

Here is a old steel fishing rod that I would guess is a rare fishing rod that is marked. VERY NEAT OLD FLY ROD! I have never saw a long Steel& Brass fly rod like this with the two telescopic ends made of Brass. The part next to the handle looks like some type of metal or steel and the two sections that you can pull out are Brass or Bronze. VERY cool old metal Fly Rod! The handle area where the old fly reel would go is marked RICHARDSON and the R is inside a Triangle as shown in pictures. The old rod shows well but needs a good cleaning. The vintage fly rod is a long 8 feet 4 inches when extended and 3 feet 5 inches closed. VERY COOL fly rod and may be a rare fishing rod? Unknown old fly rod but sure the old flyrod collector will know the model and maker. The old cork handle is still in pretty good condition also. Very nice older steel ... morerod for the collector. OLD SQUARE STEEL FISHING ROD WOOD HANDLES VINCE NEW YORK 5 FRANCE JV RARE RODS
Here is a old steel fishing rod that is cool. The eyes on this old square steel rod are Red Glass inside Brass looking rings on the two middle eyes. The old steel Rod is stamped VINCE-NEW YORK on one side of the steel and MADE IN FRANCE with a 5 stamped on the end near the handle. The old steel rod is quite heavy and about 4 feet 8 inches long. The old steel rod is square and needs a good cleaning and will leave that to the bidder. Don't know much about cleaning older rods. Unknown old fishing rod but I think it's called a Boat Rod? The back part of the wooden handle is a long 12 3/4" and the front wood part is about 3 1/2" long. The vintage square steel rod shows well and the wood handle is in good used condition. This rod is made of steel with 4 telescoping 6 sided hexagonal sections, the eyes and furls look to be nickle plated and brass, the handle is made of cork, the rear reel mounting ring is cracked, all rod sections are strait, no bends, all of the sections extend and collapse smoothly, the finish has some chips on the handle but the rod sections are in very nice condition, the cork handle is dark from use but is in good condition, total length is 107 inches extended, 41 inches collapsed and the handle is 8 1/2 inches

EXTREMELY RARE VINTAGE SATTERLEE SPOKANE STEEL FISHING ROD POLE **WOW**LOOK**
Up for auction is an EXTREMELY RARE VINTAGE SATTERLEE SPOKANE STEEL FISHING ROD POLE. The only information I could find on this pole was a newspaper article from 1948 about a small factory in Spokane that hand made these steel fishing rods. You can read the article if you google"Satterlee fishing" The handle is made of fine grade well-seasoned maple that Satterlee acquired from old discarded school desks. This pole is approx 69" long. It does separate as shown in photos. I see a line across the fastening section that I'm not sure is supposed to be there. There is some slight rust on the pole but it is still in very good condition for it's age. There is a water spot on the wood which I also captured in the photos. The Pglueger#1774 reel has a light wear with very minor paint loss. It has a few small scuffs or light scratches. It is wound with a thick yellow/green colored line. The rod has a cork handle that has some wear; some indentations and paint loss. The cork is all intact but turns on the main frame. The steel rod extends to 9 feet long! It extends very well; is not too loose or too tight. It has four solid brass eyelets that are in solid condition. The rod has slight discoloring and or light scratches. Marked: Union Hardware VIM. extruded steel rod. It is hollow. Extruded as one piece of molten steel and you will notice the taper in the rod as you run your finger along the length.you can feel where it steps down in size as you go toward the tip. This is a hexagonal steel rod with the original sticker and also signed under the reel. It is a GEP Actionized Rod in excellent condition for its age, but missing one line guide. About 5' long. Patent no.s 1524590 and 2005081. It has a cork handle in good condition with normal wear rubs. The old reel is in excellent condition, it is Level winding ATLAS 1708 model D from the Kalamazoo Tackle Company. It is clean and operates smoothly.

For sale at a buy it now fixed price is this hard to find fishing rod from American Fork and Hoe Company of Geneva Ohio. It is a steel casting rod that is about 4 1/2 feet long. It has several unuasual features. If you have see this style of rod before. The eyes are soldered on. In addition the eyes are lined with red ceramic inserts. Most unusual, however, is the clamp design at the reel seat. You can see the mechanism partly extended in the second photo. It screws all of the way into the butt of the rod to secure the reel. This one is used but in good condition. I see a crack in the cork handle but here does not appear to be any other damage. The eyes are intact. The grip and reel seat are good. There is no evidence that this vintage rod has ever been fished. The four-sided stainless steel rod shaft is pristine in its original wooden frame. The unique handle has patent number 1920966. Which was issued in 1933. The handle is gray and maroon bakelite( The rod shaft screws into the handle, then is secured by adjusting a knurled nut in the forward section of the handle.
