All parts of the rod are in superb condition. I honestly cannot find any damage at all anywhere on the rod and so I think it may not ever have actually been used. The rod has a model number of 6TMU on it. And measures 6 ft 9” when assembled. The canvas storage bag is clean and in great shape. The aluminum storage tube has a screw on lid that functions perfectly. However it is missing the chain that once kept it attached to the tube. The tube also has someone’s name with a date of 1964 etched onto it in cursive writing. And has scrapes and scratches on the outside. Please view all photos. Up for auction is a group of old fishing equipment. It is an estate sale find. There are two reels and two lures. The reels are Shakespeare OK Automatic No. 1821. It looks to have been well used. It is filled with heavy line. It does retrieve the line upon pushing the button. But there doesn’t seem to be much torque or pull. The second reel is a FRE-LINE Model 10BC. The front says“Boulder Colo” The back says“Wright& McGill company Denver Colo. This reel has an owners mark scrawled on the bottom that says“HF” It is filled with a lighter line. It reels in fine. The reel is hard to open. The inside looks new. The two lures are in boxes with the paper work. The first is a“Bomber” I am not sure if this lure matches the box? The box has that aged look from sitting on a shelf. The second lure I am sure about. It is a Mirrolure. These are still ... moreincredibly popular today. You are bidding on a very nice. Antique Wright& McGill Granger Premier fly rod. It has four segments, two of which are the tips. All of the guides are in excellent shape, with the exception of one that is 1st from the end on the spare tip. It comes with the canvas bag and an aluminum storage tube. Unfortunately the label on the tube is missing and I am not sure if it is original. The year it was made was in 1938, and it was made in Denver Colorado. The model is 2.114.10. Each segment is approx 38.5 inches long. All inserts are in great shape, and there are no splits or cracks in any of the segments. The varnish is in excellent shape as well. You are looking at a super nice Vintage Eagle Claw(Wright& McGill Co. Trailmaster 6'9" Spin/Fly combination rod. This rod is from the 1970s and in very good condition. This is model number: TRRR269(206 cm) It says on the rod: Previous Model No. M6TMU) It also says: Line Size 7" The rod comes in six pieces. There are no gouges in the cork. All the eyes are present. The colors are strong-this is a fantastic rod! This rod came from my uncle's collection of fishing equipment. He lives in Homosassa Springs. Florida and because of declining health, he can no longer fish. My Aunt asked me to help her find new homes for all his gear. Over the past couple of months, I have done just that! This is one of the last pieces of his collection to go. Because he lives in Florida. This rod may have been exposed to salt water/air. But ... morebased on its condition, it is my guess he only used it when he went back to his home near Flint, Michigan. It is in really great shape! The aluminum tube does show wear and the chain that attaches the screw top on the tube is present but not connected to the tube. Vintage Wright McGill Granger Special Bamboo Fly Rod 9' 3 piece 2 tips 9050 NR
NO RESERVE AUCTION with Buy it Now Wright McGill Granger Special 9 foot 3 piece with 2 tips. All pieces equal length. This rod is in fantastic near mint condition. I have fished this rod and it is a 6 to 7 weight rod. I hate to sell it. But I have too many. I recently had the ferrules on the mid section re-glued and professionally re-wrapped. He did a great job matching up the thread and varnish. You can tell there is a slight gloss over the new wraps, but that can be dulled with a little steel wool if you like. Look at the pictures of the ferrules and see if you can tell. Otherwise, this rod is ready to fish everything is tight and like new in original condition. I hated to have the ferrules reglued because we had to cut the original wraps, but I wanted this rod to be fished, and i wanted to fish it. The tube has a dent in it and some scuffs ... morebut really a nice little aluminum tube. This is the real deal. If you want a nice collectable Granger that you can fish and not have to do anything to, this is the rod. Reel and fish not included in the one picture above. I am an honest seller. And my goal is to put these rods and reels back on the rivers and streams to be used rather than collect dust. I try to find good quality product and take high quality photos to let the buyer know what they are getting. I also try as best I can to let you know everything I know about the rod. This is a used fly rod and it shows. The cork handle has a couple of thin spots where your thumb makes contact with the cork. Some spots are so thin they are missing, see the photos) The hook keeper is also missing. The reel seat has some scratches and paint loss but is still fully functional. The line guides, wrappings and ferrules are in good condition but there is some staining and discoloration to the surfaces. Even with these cosmetic issues this rod is fully functional, needing ... morejust a fly reel and line. The rod tube also has scratches to the surfaces. Rod sock included but it is not the original. For sale at a buy it now fixed price is this classic fiberglass fly fishing rod made by Wright McGill Eagle Claw. It is one of the famed Sweetheart rods. It is an 8 1/2 foot 2 piece rod and it comes in the original aluminum tube. It has the mini ferrules. It is model M2A. This is rated for 7 weight fly line but I have always found that these are more 6/7 as it throws a 6 weight line effortlessly. This one was made in Denver.likely in the 1960s. This one is used but in excellent condition. Both pieces are of equal length and assembled it measures 8 1/2 feet so no repairs. The eyes. Wraps, reel seat and grip are all good. There does not appear to be any damage of any kind. Vintage 1938 Wright & McGill Eagle Claw Salesman's Fish Hook book or catalog
Here is a really rare and great piece of angling history a guaranteed original 1938 Wright& McGill Eagle Claw salesmans sample fish hook catalog or book. I have been told most of these salesman sample had eight pages this one has 13. It appears it had 15 pages but two are missing. Scroll down and look at the photos. Unfortunately there is not enough room to show all the pages. This book contains hundreds of actual fish hooks which have caused the pages and covers to warp and wave the book is not flat, it is copyright 1930 but I am told its a 1938 edition. This book or catalog is in good used condition showing signs of honest work and wear. Eleven of the pages are complete with all the fish hooks. The other two have one or more hooks that are loose or missing. The book measures 10 x 14 inches and has the company name and logo embossed ... moreon the cover. Again this is a rare and unusual piece of fishing history and would make a great addition to any fisherman's library. The pages could be removed and individually framed and hung on the wall for ever a better display. Really there not many hooks missing I tried to take pictures of the two pages with the most hooks missing. I believe this could be a real sleeper this is not a picture catalog these are real hooks. This one sells as all my auctions with never a reserve and free shipping to the lower 48 states. Alaska and Hawaii may cost more. Wright & McGill Bamboo Stream and Lake 3/1 8'6"
For your consideration is a beautiful vintage Wright and McGill Bamboo fly rod. This is a Stream and Lake 4 1/2 oz model 8642 made between 1947 and 1951 In Denver. Colorado U.S.A. All three sections are at their full and proper length and the finish appears to be original with a few small spots that could stand a touch-up. The top section has a slight set between the tip and the 2nd regular eyelet from the top. This is minor, any competent bamboo rod repairman could address it very easily, or fish it as-is. This rod does include one agate eyelet which is is good shape without any signs of cracking. Yes, this rod also has the proper uplocking reel seat which turns up and down from the knob at the bottom with no issues. All silk thread wraps appear original and are the proper color for this model. This is not some garage sale thrown together ... morewonder. I feel it is fishable as is and/or would be an excellent candidate for a proper restoration. I want to be 100% open and honest about condition. Your satisfaction is my goal. I purchased this rod with the intention of doing a full and proper 100% restoration but am parting with it instead in order to help finance an international trip later this year. What good is having a closet full of rods if you never use them, right? I have cast this rod and has the magical feel that only a quality bamboo rod has. I am open to any and all questions you might have for me. I want everyone to be happy when this transaction is completed except for those who get outbid and miss out on owning this beauty. Included is a newer divided rod sock and an aluminum tube with O-ring screw top. At some point. Wright McGill Eagel Claw Featherlight Fly Fishing Rod FLFU225 7'0" This is a 2 piece Wright McGill Featherlight fly fishing rod. Model FLFU225 rod is 7'0" in length. Designated for a 6 weight fly line. In casting the rod my recommendation would be for use with a 5 weight line. 4" bronze and gold aluminum double ring lock reel seat with black rubber butt cap. 6" specie cork grip with black rubber winding check. Standard stainless hookkeeper. Stainless steel stripper guide. 6 stainless steel snake guides, and a stainless tip top. Ferrule is Fenwick style glass with male on butt section and female on the tip section. Rubber butt cap has a small separation to the right of the reel seat and has been sealed and coated with epoxy. Yellow guide winds on the butt section have been replaced with new correct old stock Gudebrod ... morenylon(they were stained with varnish which could not be removed. The black accent wraps are original as are all of the remaining winds. Plug in male ferrule is tapered cork. Ships in a plastic bag and heavy fiber tube enclosed in a 3 sided postal tube insured.

PRE Wright & McGill GOODWIN GRANGER 9050 Tube Case Bamboo Fly Rod 9053
I parted a Goodwin Granger Special 9050 out because the cost of restoration would have outweighed the worth by a long shot. Therefore. The tube is up for grabs. This original tube has a lot of scrapes in the finish with some light corrosion here and there, but try to find another for these earlier rods. There are no major dents to speak of. The last pic is of the stamp on the butt section of the rod that was stored in it which is available in another auction. Will work for the 9053, also. Shipping is $7.50 to the lower 48.
