This auction is for a rare antique split bamboo fly fishing rod with what I think is the original sock and tube. Marked on the reel seat: WRIGHT& MCGILL ROD. CO. DENVER, COLO. U.S.A. PAT. APR. 12, 1938- PAT. NO. 2,114,107- and marked on the rod above the cork: GRANGER ARISTOCRAT- This rod is 9 feet long and weighs 5 2/3 ounces when assembled and it comes with an extra tip. This classic rod is fully functional, perfectly straight with either tip and in excellent condition appearing lightly used with no chips, cracks, damages or repairs and showing light use with some tiny little scratches and scuffs in the varnish which is still an estimated 95%+ complete. NO. 2,114,107- This is a 3 piece rod that weighs 6.6 ounces with either tip and was originally 9 feet long but now has one tip that measures 33 3/4" and the other is 31 1/2" compared to the first two sections that measure 36 1/2" This rod is fully functional, perfectly straight with either tip and in near excellent condition showing just a few tiny nicks and scratches on the varnish on the first section. The two tips may have been slighty shortened but the repair is of excellent quality and the missing few inches should not affect the performance.
