This auction is for a Beautifully designed and crafted Cast Iron Figural Umbrella or Cane stand in the form of a Dog sitting alongside a tree. The details of this Art Deco piece are great. From the ribs on the dog to the bark that makes up the rings that hold the umbrellas to the leaves that serve as the handle. The piece is painted all black and is in very good condition. Without any breaks or cracks or damage. There is a spot in one corner of the bottom drip pan that catches water from the wet umbrella that has a bit of rust starting(see last photo) This was a recent estate sale discovery and I am not certain of its age. I am not sure what the process is-Does not appear to be decal-some sort of enamel transfer process?
