Free Shipping Location: Delray Beach, United States This is a vintage solid mahogany with brass hardware Fly Rod Display/ Storage Rack and Cabinet. I believe it dates from the 1930’s and was undoubtedly ... moremade in the U.S.A. It is 38 ½” tall. And the base is 27” x 9” and constructed of ash wood. This cabinet is free standing and designed to sit on the floor or on a table or desk. But the base is attached with screws and could be removed to convert this into a wall mounted cabinet. The inside dimension of the drawers is 5” x 10” and they are 3 ½” deep. The exterior surfaces have been refinished. But the cabinet has always been in good condition. The brass knobs. Screws, and ferrules are original and unrestored or refinished. The felt in the upper recesses has been replaced. And the drawers have leather liners in the bottoms(see photos) I received this cabinet from an elderly cousin’s estate 20 years ago. I do not know the brand. And there are no markings that I can find, but this is a factory, professionally made cabinet. It is very well built. The drawers move in and out easily and have stops built into them. This is a wonderful vintage piece that harkens back to an earlier time. It could be a great compliment to someone’s den. Fishing cabin, hunting lodge, or“man cave” It also would make a great display cabinet for small vintage long guns or air rifles(see pictures– none of the firearms pictured are included in this sale– only the cabinet described) SHIPPING NOTES: This item must be shipped to a street address(not a P.O. Two antique Fly Fishing Reels. Meisselbach Expert& Union Hardware 7115S One reel is a Meisselbach Expert. Estimate it was manufactured before 1905. Only markings on the reel are EXPERT on the top bridge. Following the history of the Meisselbach Expert reel it appears to be Nickle plated brass. Reel is in rough shape. Not sure if complete or not. Reel needs a good cleaning and inspection to free up and see if restorable. Good wall hanger. Maybe parts reel. Second reel is a Union Hardware fly reel. Reel was manufactured in Torrington Connecticut. Reel has markings on backside but very difficult to read. Reel has not been cleaned or polished. Last digits of model number are.115S. Difficult to read due to the patina of the steel construction. Reel looks to be fully functional. Reel looks to be complete. Can't figure out if there is any ... morekind of drag adjustment. This is still under the Garcia company name which from the late 40's to the late 70's was the largest fishing tackle company during that time. This large handwoven split ash fishing creel/ trout basket comes from central Ohio and was shaped to fit around the waist of the person fishing. The rounded rectangular base is woven with hand carved upright spokes and hand-split weavers of about 3/8 inch in width. All varying according to the width the basket maker had to work with. The lid is rather loosely woven around a carved almost square piece of stock and has individually carved spokes around a center hole for putting the fish into the basket without opening the top. A handmade wooden clasp has been carved out of either oak or ash and would have held the top of the basket closed. Holes for hanging the basket on the fisherman’s belt are woven into the back of the basket. The basket is in amazingly good condition with only one weaver broken and one on the top has a little“bite” out ... moreof it, and another is cracked. The basket measures 15 1/2 inches long by 9 1/2 inches wide by 101/4 inches deep and has a very nice gently aged color to the wood. You could put a pretty good sized trout or several smaller ones in this basket. It seems to have been fashioned by a less experienced basket maker, perhaps the fisherman himself, as the lid is attached to the base with what appears to be braided linen fishing line—something he would have already had in the tackle box. It does not appear to have had other hinges before these. At this time we do not ship overseas.

Hi! For sale we offer this primitive. Antique bamboo fishing rod. This is a 6 foot model that is made of two pieces connected by a metal sleeve. 6 sided bamboo construction. Metal reel attachment. Bottom handle is turned wood with wood end finial(similar to the way Horrocks rods were made) This rod has one odd quality. The eyes are on the top and bottom of it. Please see photos. I have been fishing most of my life and have never had a rod like this one. Maybe I have lived a sheltered life. The letter N is carved just above the finial end. This is most likely a hand made labor of love. Not a mass produced item. 6ft. 2 pc. Please understand. This is a v ery old rod. It has been enjoyed and enjoyed. Here is rare find. It is one of the most desirable of all minnow traps. This is the Shakespeare glass minnow trap. It reads Shakespeare. Kalamazoo, Mich, U.S.A. Patent Pending and then on the bottom side up by the neck it reads Patented December 26, 1933. Their are no cracks or chips. It has orginal handle and lip around the neck. It does have a cover but I dont think it is the one that came with it but it will be sent with it anyways. Just having the orginal handle and collier and no cracks or chips is a big find itself. Here we have TWO small trade Raised Pillar fishing reels by'Montague' in the U.S.A. The first is a small 80 yard reel'The Chief' reel marked clearly on the face of the reel; CHIEF' It has a sliding button for drag and a sliding button for the check mechanism which both work correctly. The reel is in excellent condition. The knob is plastic or bone and also is in great condition with no cracks. The reel is loaded with some sort of braided line. The second reel is a 8 0 yard'Climax' reel which is clearly marked on the foot; The Climax' The other side of the foot is marked; Registered Pat. July 8. 1894' It has an ebonite knob with no cracks or chips. It is loaded with a nylon type backing line. This reel also has a sliding button system for both the drag and check mechanisms. The only damage I see is that the top eyelet is missing a small piece of the"eye" see last photo for better description of damage. This is a pretty easy fix. Otherwise this rod is in nice shape. This tackle box belonged to my Grandpa& has been in our family for a very long time. There are 4 licenses. 1941, 1942, 1943& 1946 All licenses are in great shape. ITEM DESCRIPTION: This is a Stub Caster fishing rod. It remains in nice shape with some age tarnish to the metal. The rod blank is a little loose in the handle portion. But it could easily be glued in place. I didn't do it because I don't know if that's how they came or not. The marbled plastic has no chips, only some scratches as can be expected. There are some dings to the metal itself, but nothing real deep. Stub Casters are very unique and desirable fishing rods that have increasingly become harder to find. This antique tackle box I got from an old fella in the wet lands of eastern North Carolina. It measures 14' long- 8" deep and 6" high. He told me it was his fathers and appears to be hand made out of pine. Can't tell you much more about it. It has a steel handle and a simple latch in the front. This also came with a antique clam rake and filet knife which I will also be listing. I'm selling 2 J.C Higgins ice fishing( poles with reels. The shortest fishing pole is about 41 1/2 inches. The fishing pole says"JC Higgins Pistol Grip" on the handle grip and on the other side it says"JC Higgins Model 30/62" On the reel it says"JC Higgins No. 537-3101" It has a picture of a fish jumping out of the water on one side of the reel and on the other side it has a picture of someone fishing. The reel is level wind and has its original line. The fishing pole is intact but has a very small crack on the grip(1/4" The fishing pole and reel are in good condition. The longer fishing pole is about 51 inches. The fishing pole says"JC Higgins Pistol Grip" on both sides of the handle grip. On the inside of the reel it says"JC Higgins NO. 312-3111 Model NO. 4810" The reel has a picture ... moreof a fishermen catching a fish on both sides of the reel and the reel is level wind and comes with its original line.
