It is fully lined with silk and hand embroidered with a lovely feather stitch around the edge and a few scattered flowers on the silk lining in white silk thread. There is a small 2" ruffle along the back of the neck attached to the pelt. The pelt has its very tiny ears and 4 legs. The face is very small. There is a small crocheted chain that fastens to a hook for closing across the front near the neck, a large snap attached to one front foot and another small crocheted covered ball attached to the piece I am not sure what their purpose is. This lovely and well preserved piece has been in my family since the early 1900s. If you love to collect real vintage pieces you will love this little fox fur. Vintage red fox fur jacket, circa late 1920's or early 1930's
This is an absolutely beautiful vintage fox fur- I am not 100% certain that it is fox as there is no label. But it is not soft like mink and looks like the same type of fur as a fox fur collar I have. Anyway, it is dated by the clasp and the very unique sleeves. The clasp is celluloid(could possibly be bakelite) the sleeves are wide and are open on the under side- there is a crochet covered button on each side and they hook together with a snap. I believe it is about a size 10- the measurements are: shoulder seam to shoulder seam 14" around the garment under the arm 41" around the garment at waist area 38" shoulder seam to hem 27" sleeve length, shoulder seam down on outside of sleeve 19" this jacket would have been worn with long gloves with the 3/4 length sleeves. It is lined with a beautiful brown satiny fabric ... morethat has a design to it. I have inspected this lovely vintage treasure and the only tiny flaw I could find is a little hair worn off where one of the hook and eye closures on the front meet.

SILVER-TIPPED FOX FUR BOA For your consideration is this real fox fur boa. Found in a old trunk. Wrapped in tissue paper. Circa 1920- 1929, the era of bootleg whiskey. I can picture all the lovely ladies going to the theater to see their idol, Rudolph Valentino, dressed to the"9's" wrapped in the finest of furs. After all these years, there is no deterioration, odor or damage. The fur is soft and luxurious. It measures 54" from the fox's nose to the tip of it's silver tail and is 7" wide. The fox's mouth is a fastening clasp that clips onto links of black"chain" to secure it around the shoulders. It has the fox's head and all four legs/feet. Can you see Joan Crawford wearing this divine silver fox chubby.Ingrid Bergman.Barbara Stanwick. Bette Davis-well this was the kind of fox chubby they owned and wore in and out of wardrobe. This is a real period piece of fur. A jacket which has a look of an era when shoulders were power statements, platforms were the shoe that was newly introduced, jewelry was gigantic, and the"Chubby" jacket style balanced the whole act. I bought this as a vintage piece and it has been mostly in storage. It was recently cleaned and is fresh.but fox. If it is 50 years old or 5 years old sheds.so be prepared. Give the jacket a shake before putting it on and let nature take its course. In wonderful condition. No wear spots. No holes, no smells and full plush pelts. there is wonderful coordinated white colorations, superb shoulders, lets call them ... morepower shoulders. Now I have to explain what I have never before seen in a jacket like this. The outside of the sleeves are all fox fur. Big wide and fluffy. LIFT YOUR ARM however. And there is a wool jersey fabric in a line under the arm in a down strip and looking at it, thinking about it, I am thinking this was designed so that there is a flatness to the arm when down by ones side. That the jacket doesnt puff all out from double fur on the inside of the arm and the sides of the jacket. Clever? This was meant to be. No one was saving on the use of fur. Then additionally there are snaps up and down the inside of the sleeves which opens and flares the arm out giving a sort of cape like wider feel to the jacket sides if one wants. Or maybe it was to accommodate wool suits which were heavy and had shoulder pads. Again very clever. I am finding this feature a bit difficult to ecplain as I havent seen it before and it clearly is a'couture' thing. Custom made long ago at a furrier I dont know. It's definitely real fur. I own enough fur coats and jackets to know this: It looks and feels like monkey or raccoon. The fur is black but in certain lights it shows reddish and brownish hues. Vintage Astrakhan and Fox Fur Coat circa 1950s This is a wonderful 1950s astrakhan and fox fur coat by Peltz of Maryland. It has been completely restored by a wonderful Italian tailor. While it was being restored. I took a picture of one of the"stamps" that are on the backside of the fur which shows that this fur was originally produced specifically for the Peltz furriers(pictured) The lining has the original owner's name embroidered inside the right panel. All the seams have been re-stitched and re-glued. The fur is in excellent condition. The lining is in excellent condition. There is a"scar" on the right left sleeve from where a crack has been professionally repaired and there is a bit of glue on the right underarm seam(last two pictures) I have tried to be as accurate as possible. I think this is Fox collar, I do not know furs but it is gorgeous in Great condition. size Med.but double check measurements. Snap closure down the front. It is an authentic piece from Cain Sloan Co with what feels like a cashmere coat and a genuine black fox fur attached collar. It is fully lined. Features dolman sleeves and is in great condition. And though material is not marked, I believe it is cashmere. There are a few areas inside where the lining is beginning to come loose, but you could tack it down or leave it. It appears there may have at one time been a string that went around the bottom inside the fabric and came out the front because there are two little holes that were made to be there, right below the two hook and eye closures in the front.
