Belt is made of off-white leather as typical. It is attached to the belt plate on one end. And to the brass keeper on the other side. Belt plate has the large GAR"emblem" with crossed anchors, rifles, sabers, and cannon in each corner, etc. It is raised on a stippled background and the letters"G. A. R. are around it. Also still has the original brass adjusting buckle and the leather keepers. Leather is in very good condition. All the stitching is tight. This came with the effects of Cpl. Charles A. Smith of Worcester. Mass. who enlisted in 1861. You can imagine the parades and memorials that this was used in. A nice item used by a Civil War/GAR ... morevet after the civil war for ceremonies. The large Iowa Militia button is very well defined, the smaller ones less so. Maybe they were always that way. I think these are from the 1870s. Offered is this 1883 National Woman's Relief Corps Auxiliary to the Grand Army of the Republic medal. This is a bronze maltese cross attached with a red. White and blue ribbon to a bronze hinged-pin bar. The bar is embossed"FCL" Fraternity, Charity, Loyalty) The reverse is embossed" PATTENTED MAY 4 AND SEPT 28 1886" The ribbon is worn but stable. The bronze cross has a touch of natural verdigris. The brass hinged pin is in good working condition. There are do damages to any of the metal parts and the old patina has not been polished. A Nice. Original and Decent Example of a Civil War Era GAR, Mini Grand Army of the Republic, CW Veteran's Membership Medal! The small, 2 piece GAR Membership Medal is 1-1/4" in overall size, fitted with a pin backed Top Bar for wear. The Medal is enameled in Red and Blue, and appears to be a Gold Washed piece over bronze, although the front enameling is clean! There is a repair of the right star point with the loop and the T-Bar pin is missing the pin, but the enameling is sharp and the small medal looks very nice in hand! The medal is actually a decent piece and would go beautifully with a Civil War Veteran's Medal Grouping, uniform or for general display. The patina on the medal are wonderful! Zim Gar Acoustic Guitar. Measures approx 36" long, 13.5" wide and 3.5" deep. The decal going around the hole is worn off on one side. On the inside decal, it has a number 0688. I don't know much about guitars, seems like you could clean up the wood, but I'd be afraid to because I don't know anything about them and don't want to wreck it by trying to clean it up. This is a beautifull old 1931 ribbon medal for the Veteran Grand Army Of The Republic. It was found in an old leather purse. Medal is excellent undamaged. The ribbon portion is not torn and it is attached fully and tightly onto the medal. Lettering on the ribbon is excellent condition but I cannot get a good picture. The top metal frame for the name needs some cleaning. Lapel pin on the back side is excellent. Laying flat as you see it. this is 4 1/2" tall. I have not cleaned or tampered with it in any way. I purchased this magnificent piece about 5 years ago. It is a beautiful hallmarked 925 Sterling Silver Genuine Garnet Link Bracelet. It is in pristine condition with no chipped. Scratched or missing stones. There is a total of 12 Genuine Garnet stones; perfectly matched and in a secured prone setting and measuring at 7 3/4" in length. It also has a box clasp with latch. Civil War GAR New York State Estate Lot - Buttons, Pins, Signature Cards
Up for auction is Civil War GAR New York Estate Lot. This lot includes 2 pins. 2 calling cards and 2 buttons. First in the lot is a Bakewell For Commander Celluliod Button by Whitehead& Hoag. This pin features a button with the portrait of Comrade Allan C. Bakewell for Department Commander on both sides. He was elected commander of the Department of NY in 1902. He spent most of his time as Commander trying to increase the GAR membership and promoting legislation for the good of the order. The button is hanging off a red, white and blue striped piece of silk and is attached to a pin at the top inscribed with"FRATERNITY" and showing 2 hands shaking each other. It measures approximately 4 1/4" long and has the Whitehead& Hoag sticker still attached to the back. Next is a Whitehead& Hoag pin with a"V" in the ... morecenter and"N 71 G" around. It is attached to an American Flag ribbon. It measures 1 1/4" in diameter and approximately 3" long. Next are 2 calling cards and 2 buttons. The plates were a souvenir of Sebring, Ohio, circa 1890s.

GAR Veteran at Gettysburg Real Photo Postcard 78th& 102nd NY Infantry Monument Real photo postcard of a Grand Army of the Republic veteran visiting Gettysburg dates from around 1910. The veteran is standing next to the monument to the 78th and 102nd New York Infantry Regiments. He is wearing a GAR felt hat. He is not identified but was likely a member of either New York regiment. Gettysburg" is written in pencil along the left edge on the reverse. The postcard measures 3 3/8 x 5 3/8" and is in good condition with wear at the corners. There is a light bend at right. Center, and toning along the edges on the reverse. Both sides are shown enlarged in the scans. TERMS: Scan is an accurate representation. Vintage Antique US 46 Star GAR Flag Post Civil War Oklahoma
Nice clean GAR flag with 46 stars. These commemorated the Civil War veterans who served in the Grand Army of the Republic. The 46 Star Flag: On July 4.1908, the U.S. flag grew to 46 stars with the addition to the Union of(November 16. 1907) and served as President under the 46 star flag. This was the official flag for 4 years. from USFlag.org. Falg staff is 36 inches long. Flag is 14 X 20 inches. Made of cheese cloth and has been rolled up for many years. The apparent crease is not a tear but a probable crease during the dying process. A great display item for flag, patriocanna or Civil War collectors.
