January who was imprisoned in the infamous Andersonville GA Confederate prison. 6 3/8 x 4 1/16 inches with foxing throughout with minor creasing horizontally on the right and left edges with rising of the photo from the card on parts of the lower edge. The gilding is done with a stunning gold beaded border with delicate spade-form leaves against the cobalt border. The center depicts a lovely young lady smelling a flower. The piece is signed at 6 o'clock. Perhaps L. Tackl? This very fine quality piece was made in the late 1800s. The piece is marked on the underside with the Royal Vienna beehive mark. The condition is virtually flawless. The cobalt border and gilding are in fantastic condition. The porcelain is also in great shape.
