That was before fish became diseased and the charters closed down. This reel has been used less than a dozen times. I know it is a crime to let such a fine piece sit. But things like college and life come along and change one’s plans. The old plans are shelved and you are the beneficiary. I washed this in clear water after each trip. The 80# Dacron line on the spool is still good. There is hardly any wear and the drags are excellent. If you want a big game reel. The high-speed senator is still a primo piece to have. Up for auction is a combo deal- 1) A well working elec-tra-mate Hawaiin 1200 and a vintage penn 9/0 senator loaded with 65lb suffix 832(approx 2000 ft of line) The rod-butt IS NOT FOR SALE- it was used for illustration purposes. I originally purchased the combo from an old fishermen year ago. At the time of purchased. I had the reel serviced by penn and the electramate serviced also(ie all bearings checked greased/lubed and chain) I used it for deep dropping for tilefish, grouper, and other deep fish species. After each use, it was cleaned and well lubricated. The reason for putting this up on auction is that I just purchased an inshore boat and will not be deep dropping anytime soon. My loss your gain. The electramate has no cracks and well cared for. Vintage Lot-Fishing Poles- Mohawk Silver King ,Penn 60 Reel and Antique Pole
This is a lot of 2 Vintage poles and a reel Mohawk Silver King 3442 84" 7ft) long Unkown Antique pole 6 Ft long. broken tip) and A Penn Star Drag 60 reel These were a basement find in my grandfathers house. I dont know much about them other than they are old. Vintage poles. It was hard to get pictures of these because of the length. The first pole is a Mohawk Silver King model 3442 Horrocks-IBBoston Co. Utica NY. I dont see any cracks or splits in the wood. As you can see from the pictures there is a cork grip and the handle is hardwood. The pole guides are chrome plated stainless steel. The printing on the pole is in excellent condition with little signs of wear. It measures 7 ft from end to end. It does come apart into two pieces. I would rate this as in excellent condition for its age but I am no expert on Fishing poles so please ... moreask any questions you may have. The second pole has no markings on it that I can find. It is hardwood with only one guide on it. That is one on each side of the pole at the same point. The tip of this pole is broken off. Again, I believe it comes apart but I am not messing with it. I am also including a Penn Long Beach 60. Metal spool, star drag, Torpedo handle, gear ratio 2 1/2 to 1, approx cap. 250 d 36lb nylon, 250 yd Dacron. There is fishing line on the reel that I think is Nylon. It is in its original box but it has been used. The metal has some signs of corrosion on the inside part of the reel. It might clean off but I am not touching these things, I will leave this to you! In the box is a used tube of lube and a little wrench as well. I have shown that in the pictures.The box read Penn Long Beach 60 Penn fishing tackle MFG co, Philidelphia 32 PA. I shot it tarnished& polished so that you could see the stunning detail of the workmanship. The worst things that I can say about are the dents on the edge of the mirror- SEE PHOTOS- and the discoloration in the mirror. The engraved initials are so incredibly ornate I can't make them out- there may be an A, M and or a G in there but it's really hard to tell. When I place it on my scale- mirror up it comes up 11.06- but that is with the mirror. Please ask questions!

You are bidding for a Penn Squidder reel with ball bearings that make it extremely smooth casting. This is the narrow spool#146 version. It is a full size#140 that has been modified with Newell components to turn it into a#146. Newell components are the bars. Spool and reel seat with clamp. The Newell components are probably worth more than the basic reel as Newell is out of business. This reel is in excellent condition with no corrosion or pitting. Penn 200 - Wide Surfmaster
Penn 200 Wide Surfmaster This reel quite a bit of corrosion but it is in excellent working condition. Originally this real came with either a metal spool or plastic spool. Years later. An aluminum spool became available. This one is equipped with a black plastic spool. This reel will work just fine the way it is. But if you wanted to make it look pretty, all of the corroded chrome parts are still available new. If you are not familiar with the Surfmaster line of reels. They are nearly identical to the Squidders, and have the same quick change spool feature. The only real difference is that Squidders have ball bearings, while these Surfmasters have bushings. Both lines of reels use mostly the same parts except for the spools- the spools for the Squidders have a longer spindle in order to accommodate the ball bearing. New aluminum spools are ... morestill available that fit all three sizes of Surfmasters. This reel is the w ide Surfmaster and is the same size as the Squidder 140. Factory mint. And a right hand would be rare, let alone a very rare left hand. This beauty came from a Mom& Pop store in Long Beach, Ca. The store went out of business in the late 40's to early 50's.
