For this auction. We have a beautiful, vintage, Centaure Spinning Reel made in France in the late 1940's to early 1950's. A half-bail or as some call it, an open face, this reel is in Extremely good condition with very little ware and NO rust or corrosion. It was one of the finest precision spinning reels ever made. Anodized aluminum with stainless steel gears, it was made to be rust and corrosion resistant. Highly versatile, the rugged, Centaure was made for salmon or larger freshwater fish such as muskie, pike and large bass. It measures approx. 10' x 9' and is a gold colored heavy duty canvas on the top part and blue on the bottom ground part. It is in very good condition. Condsidering its age. There are no rips, holes, or repairs to the canvas. Very solid construction! There is a double reinforced front zip up front door with the outer part made of the heavy canvas and the inside made of mesh. There are also three additional windows. One in the back and one on either side for great air flow. This canvas tent looks like it was military issued or used for some kind of military function. More photos are found below. 5 pieces featuring the copper plate" S porting animals" engravings of Buffon and other early natural scientists depicting animal scenes from mid-19th Century British colonies of Africa. India and Canada. Three(3) pieces are immaculate(teapot with lid. Sugar bowl with lid, and plate. T wo(2) pieces(tea cup and creamer) have been rudimentarily repaired. The teapot. Sugar bowl, and plate are outstanding examples. Please see photos. C reamer and teacup have been repaired but not well and I fear the creamer is too fra gmented to be eff ectively restored. You are looking at a antique PAPER ADVERTISEMENT from an old undated cookbook. Inventory#001140 The photo shows the size of the paper in inches. Some of them have margins which is included in the size shown in photo. I have dated the cookbook to 1929 by researching the advertisements. There was an add for a Chevrolet Coupe for $645 which was current price in 1929. A bank advertisement research shows it changed it's name in 1930 and closed in 1931. I feel confident the year is accurate! The cookbook was from Royal Oak Michigan. Some ads do no show address- I am listing as a Royal Oak business. A great piece of history. CONDITION: The cookbook was heavily worn and stained. Previous owner had taken a pencil on scribbled back and forth over a small section of the ad on some pages- have no idea why!
