Large Vintage Fishing Display with Two Large Taxidermy Brook Trout - Must See!
Please note. This auction is for PICK-UP only. Offered in this auction is a one-of-a-kind old and very large fishing display! We believe that this was hand-made. Obviously by someone very creative. The base measures approximately 21" long by 14" deep. The frame measures 18" high by 17" wide and holds a 14" by 12" photo. There are two trout, they appear to us to be Brook trout. We are not familiar with fish taxidermy but these appear to be real fish, please examine the photos and use your judgment. The fish on the right measures 17" long. The fish on the left measures 14" long. The left fish has some minor tail fin damage, as shown in the photo. There is a very slight, barely noticeable chip in the bottom of the tail fin of the right fish. Considering their age and their exposure to possible damage, ... morewe believe that both are in very good condition. We don't believe the side fins have chips; if they do they are not noticable, at least to us. On the inside of the right fish there is a horizontal line that is a few inches(see photo) that may be a crack or possibly not, but we try to point out everything we see. The base is covered with stones that are encassed in some type of translucent resin-like material that gives the look of water. As you can see in the photo, there is a fisherman on top of the small falls and he is casting his line. There is a thin bendable yellow metal line included that was glued to the glass outside the photo leading into the display, giving a realistic effect. The line is detached from the frame but can easily be re-glued, if desired. We will leave that decision to you. We are offering this for PICK-UP only. MONSTER Walleye Skin Mount Vintage Taxidermy Fish 30+ ClubTrophy Fishing Lure NR
Here is one huge walleye mount. The tag says it was 31 and 1/2 inches. I laid a tape in the V of the tail and measured 30 inches to the bottom lip. So this was well over that live. This was very well done and still looks great after 25 years. The tag did not say where this came from. I am pretty sure it was from Lake Erie. There are a lot of walleye fishermen that never caught one over 30 inches in a lifetime. Here is an extra large being sold without reserve. Email any questions and thanks for looking.

Vintage Mounted Rainbow Trout Fishing Taxidermy 34" x 13" This is a great mounted Rainbow Trout. It weighs 8lbs 14oz including the finished mounting. It is very detailed with shades of grey& the beautiful pink stripe down the side. Sharp teeth and fins. It has some minor paint chipping under the mouth, minor repair needed to tiny fins and could use a good cleaning. Has solid mounting on the back. I am not a fish expert by any means so please feel free to ask any questions or if you need more photos. This was purchased on Roanoke Island Virginia in an antique/collectible shop. This is a nice looking vintage largemouth bass taxidermy mount. It measures about 20" in length. And the real skin was used in the mount. There is a small crack on the top of the head area(pictured) which appears to have been repaired at some point and is barely noticeable. There is also a mark on the side of the gill area(pictured) I'm not sure if that was on the live fish or not, it's minor but still worth mentioning. This is a sailfish recognition plaque from an Acapulco taxidermy company. Date of sailfish catch is 01/03/1970. By a female angler. Fish measured 8'1" long. Nice fish! Plaque is made of wood with a clear coat front similar to heavy epoxy. Measures approximately 11" x13 1/2" Look at pictures and ask questions. Vintage 1961 Big Game Fishing Trophy of Marlin Bill Hawaii Rare
Up for auction is a Beautiful and Rare 1961 Striped Marlin mounted bill. This was given to me by an old friend who actually caught this Marlin off Honolulu Hawaii Oct 21 1961. This Fish weighed 206 Lbs and the Bill was mounted. The Bill measures 14 1/2" and is all Black. The sides are rough just like a true Billfish and can be seen in the pictures. The Bill sits on a wood Board that is 17 3/8" long by 1" thick. The plaque on thw bottom read"Striped Marlin 206lbs Honolulu Hawaii 21 Oct 1961. This is truly a piece of History that cannot be found and from an era where Billfish were killed. This would make a great addition to anyones collection or game room. Please see the photos for the items condition. The piece is mounted to a wooden clock and can be sat on a desk level or hung up. The fish is about 16 inches long. The fins do have some wear and slight curling and the most notable issue is fishes lower lip has been pulled a bit off.
