They just don't come any nicer than this. It is kind of hard to measure length on this one because he is curling away from you at the head and tail. It is all of 23 inches long and has a girth of 14 inches behind the gills and ahead of the front fins. The taxidermy is superb in my opinion. The gills are flared and the mouth is wide open. There are no broken fins or blemishes. This one is ready to hang. It is a real fish and not a replica. Barracuda 41'' Fish Wall Mount
I caught this barracuda when I was 11. In 1993. It has been hanging on my parents wall since around then. It is a one sided wall mount. I'd love to keep it, but I have no where to put it. The fish was caught near Hilton Head South Carolina. It was mounted in Florida, and mailed to NY. Sometime in between then and now, we dropped it causing some damage. The edges of the tail are chipped. These chips are visible when displayed on the wall, but perhaps they can be fixed. Also, the seams of the fish are damaged(see photo) the damage at the seams(top and bottom) is not visible when hanging on your wall, but is structural damage. The fish is still sturdy as this damage is restricted to the region by the tail. I can't imagine wrapping up this fish to put in the mail, but it is available for pick up in Massapequa Park, Long Island, New York.

I have never seen this type of fish before so did some research and found information on the fish which I have pasted at the bottom of the description. The former owner said that this fish was caught in the Ottawa River approximately 50 years ago. The Gar Pike measures approximately 31 inches from the tip of the beak along the curve of its body to the tip of the tail fin. Or about 29 inches long from the tip of the beak on a straight line to the tip of the tail fin; the pine board is 32 inches long x 9 inches high and has two metal eyes for hanging. 19" Large Mouth Bass Taxidermy Stuffed Fish Real Skin Mount Illinois
It was my 30th Birthday May 14th 1996 and we'd had a great day on the water. In fact one of the best days we'd ever had. The sun was setting and we were all taking the gear off the boat and loading the cars. There was going to be at least an hour of filleting in front of us before an unprecedented feast. If you're a fisherman you know the"one last cast" routine. Walking back to the cars along the docks I flicked out my worn but trusty Rapala and let out the line so that when I walked it back to shore I could reel it all the way back in. Reaching shore I turned and started to reel pulling in all the loose line I'd let out when I noticed that the line I was reeling in was going out faster than I was reeling and BANG! I set the hook and the battle started. I quickly walked back up the docks to improve my position. My ... morebrothers. Uncles and cousins all noticed at the same time and I could see them out of the corner of my eye half interested and half jealous. The fish ran and pulled out line like a Pike and my reel screamed and rod bent. Get me a net" I yelled over my shoulder and they all scrambled. I only had 4lb line on this 6'6" medium action Abu Garcia so I had to let him run and follow him by running along the docks. After about 10 min everybody became convinced that I must have hooked a turtle because I was gaining line so slowly but I was bringing in line now, slow, but steady. Fatigue got the better of him then, I thought, and we were only in about 22' 25' of water here at the end of the docks. He was coming up but he was swimming up under the dock. I pushed my rod tip out to turn his head and get him away from the dock and when he broke the surface from the very edge of the dock he must have left the water by 2 feet. Splashing back into the lake he swam away from the net my Uncle Jesse had thrust into the water and started taking line again. Now that we'd all seen him we all became collectively paranoid that he was going to throw the hook or snap the line. I

Hello. This auction contains a set of Vintage mounted Bullhorns. You can tell they are very old by the piece of wood they are mounted to and the paint that is on the back of the piece of wood! The front of the wood and center of mount is covered with real hair that I am assuming is from the same animal? I am not sure as I bought this off a person and did not get any details accept everything is real! I have had them hanging and they look pretty good while up on the wall. The horns are not perfect. Up for bid is a Taxidermy Largemouth Bass. This is a Skin Mount fish and was caught in a Lake in Sumter. SC. This is a whopper of a fish measuring over 22 inches long and about a 17 inch girth. This bass was caught in 1993 as shown in photo 4. Which also has the person's name that caught it. This plaque can be removed by removing 2 tiny screws. This is an estate sale find and is being sold AS IS. I AM NOT a Taxidermist and know nothing about taxidermy. Huge 61" Yellowfin Tuna Fish Taxidermist Taxidermy Mount Trophy Size
No shipping as he is much too large and fragile to ship. This is an estate item and the mold was taken of the actual fish. It measures 61 1/4" long from a straight line taken from the center of the back fins to the tip of the mouth. If you measure at a slight diaganal from the upper rear tail to the tip of the mouth it is 62 1/2" long. The girth around the center of the fish is 40 1/4" and it measures 27" from the tip of the upper fin to the tip of the lower fin. Mounted on the wall he extends 16 1/2" from the wall. Condition is very good with some minor cracks and rubs. Colors are beautiful. We gave him a quick wiping but you can still see some smeary dust on him and the mouth is still loaded with dust as we forgot to wipe it. If you would like to pick up my zipcode is 17363. This is a nice looking vintage largemouth bass taxidermy mount. It measures about 20" in length. And the real skin was used in the mount. There is a small crack on the top of the head area(pictured) which appears to have been repaired at some point and is barely noticeable. There is also a mark on the side of the gill area(pictured) I'm not sure if that was on the live fish or not, it's minor but still worth mentioning. The perfect specimin of a 8 and 1/2 foot long PACIFIC SAILFISH caught in Costa Rica in 1994 just as the laws were changing regarding" catch& release" regulations. This was shipped back to Florida and taxidermied, the skin was used to make the pattern in the skin but it is a Fiberglas body the bill which is the snout or nose is REAL if you look at the picture closely you can see all the raise dots or bumps it uses to feel its prey with. Its in perfect conditon. I had it touched up 5 years ago by an airbrush artist locally, I dont know what else to say there is no certifacte or anything just the pictures of me with it in Central America Costa Rica as you can read on the photo
